Why the creation of Pakistan does not negate my Indian identity

EXACTLY. A Pakistani from the North/Western/Central regions of Pakistan has about as much in common with a Central/Southern indian as he does with a pigme from East Africa. This difference is the reason why Pakistan was created.
Jinnah was a grandson of Hindu meat trader who was not accepted to Hinduism. Then he had to accept Islam in compulsion.

North/Western/Central regions of Pakistan? which province exactly is that?

Pashtuns i must say are bit complicated in this context. They are very aware of their identity and confident and secure in it . They have a very neutral approach too with regard to India and often times would prefer better relations with India , At the same time they fiercely consider anything Indian as alien culture.

There is also this undercurrent of antagonistic relation between Pashtuns and punjabi muslims , at one punjabi elite think Pashtuns are brutal normadic hordes survived on loots while on the other hand Pashtuns think punjabis are coward Dal Khor Hindu converts they conquered and subjugated in the past.
:))))))) do you even understand that dalkhor and other biases against punjabis are a reference to indeed their hindu connection not ethnicity
secondly Baluchs and Sindhis and others also are aware and confident about their identies all of these their ethnic religious and national all three.

Unless that applies to EVERY single Pakistani alive today than that premise and narrative is irrelevant. People from Western, and Northern regions of Pakistan have Iranian/Persian, Turkic and other Middle Eastern heritage. They make up at least 20% of our population. Yet they are probably the most Patriotic of all Pakistanis and the lifeblood if our nation. That makes us completely different to indians in every way possible. If these differences did not exist than neither would Pakistan.

Why you are proud Ghaznavid empire which is basically a afghan kyrigiz empire which occupied tortured your people and looted your land?

Wrong, it was an ethnically Turkic empire with Persian culture, and it spread Islam across the region.

I adore it because it spread Islam, the Ghaznavids are the ones who converted so many people, and their army used in the sub continent did contain many locals, even Hindus and Buddhists fought among their ranks.

Yes. Almost all Pakistani Punjabis are descended from Hindus. However, these Hindus were nominal Hindus who were not integrated into the Brahmanical fold. This is because most people in what is now Pakistan were Buddhist who became Hinduized to an extent when the Buddhist instiutions in South Asia collapsed. The People of Punjab became primarily Muslim at hand of Sufis primarily 400-1000 years ago. But a large minority also converted afterwards. The non-Brahmanical tradition allowed other nominal Hindus to also become Sikhs and Arya Samajis (Hindu movement). Both of which are also monotheistic like Islam which is very interesting...

Pakistani Punjabis are divided into many Biradaries (Which all have Hindu origin):

  • Jatts (Bajwa, Cheema, Sandhu, Hanjra, Virk, Tarar, Langrial, Gill, Ranjha, Wariach, Chadhar, Dhillon, Sial, W/Bance, Chattha, Gorayah, Khar, Bhutta, Randhawah, Aulakh, Thaheem, Gondal, Langah, Ghumman, Sipra, Malhi etc.)
  • Rajputs (Rana, Minhas, Bhatti, Janjua, Jodrah,Chauhan, Rai, Panwar, Joiyah, Chibb, Naru, Wattoo, Ghorewah, Jaswal, Sulehri/a, Alpial, Rathore, Khichee, Manj, Raja, Bhakral, Dhudhi, Tiwana, Nagyal, Dhaniyal,Tomar etc.)
  • Shaikhs primarily converted Khatris and Arora (Sehgal, Sethi, Vohra, Bharara, Mian [title], [majority write just Sheikh])
  • Arains, Muslim marketgardeners who claim Arab descent which has been dismissed by most historians. More than likely related to Sainis of Indian Punjab.
  • Khawajas, Punjabi Muslim Kashmiris descended Hindu Pandits include Allama Iqbal, Nawaz Sharif (Butt, Dar, Lone,Manto, Wani, Mir, [Khawaja] etc.)
  • Gujjars, mostly in Mountainous areas or in their foot hills large number in Gujrat but outnumbered by Jatts. Most Gujjar are settled and farm but there is a nomadic minority that exists.
  • Specailty castes such Tehli, Mochee, Nai, Mirasi, Darzi, Lohar, Mistri, Sonyaray, Kumhar, Juhalah etc.
  • Musallis equivalent to Mazhabi Sikh ie. Dalits or Churahs
  • Punjabi Pathan, Pashtun settled in Punjab for centuries both of Imran Khan's Paternal and Maternal side are Punjabi Pathans. PS. Pashtuns were also Buddhist who later largely became Hindu before becoming Muslim.

What hindu connection beside ethnicity are you referring to here with regards to Punjabi Muslmans?

20% of total population, most patriotic of all Pakistanis and make you guys completely different to Indians? They can't even form a majority civilian government in Pakistan forget about Ethnically different from India.

And the Muslims of the subcontinent on our side of the Indus are mostly descendants of converted Hindus. Who converted some time during the last 1300 years. Started worshipping Allah and following the Koran.

Then the Marathas came and upset their applecart.

Things were pretty grim, but Providence smiled and the Brits came. And helped by Muslims and in large part Hindu collaborators, defeated the Maratha as the de facto military power on the subcontinent.

That gave the Muslims a lifeline, staring as they were at the abyss of a Hindu India.

The rest is all modern history. And we all know what happened.

Cheers, Doc

I could argue with this interpretation, I could come up with some clever retort in which you would not be able to detect my dishonesty.

But let's leave that buddy, most identities don't span in to ancient history. It's evident if you try and teach kids a history lesson a little older than a few centuries they get bored very easily and fail to see any connection between their reality and the myths/sagas being dictated to them.

He is entitled to his views - many may not agree, but no point insulting him. The whole region from Pak to Laos is the same extended civilization - the Republic of India in a way hijacked the name India - doesn't mean people in the region cease to be of the Indic civilization.

lol, not accepted? since when do Hindus have the privilege of not accepting anything? the word 'inferiority complex' and 'being slaves' is written on you forehead, history and ancestry
