Why the Arab League decided war is the only solution

Saudi courage and strength to do it is not...Saudi Arabia can not afford to defend itself{its territories} without the help of America, The Strait of Hormuz is the lifeline of Saudi life.It is now in the hands of IRAN

KSA doesn't have US troops on it's soil, it's military is nothing like 1990, Hormoz is in no one's hands, and indeed, Iran would regret the day it was born in, the moment they think of closing it.

Saudi Arabia asked U.S to save it from Saddam's army in 1991, now you want them to create a no fly zone?

It was in 1991, Saudi army is nothing like 1990. However, it's called coalition, so I don't think you would say the same about SK, Turkey, USA, UK, France...ect who request eachothers help when needed against enemies weaker by tens of times.

Theoretically speaking, it's a piece of cake. Closing the strait of Hormoz will have a catastrophic impact on the entire region. I don't understand why are they doing this? :/ ..

It would had been catastrophic if it was done few years ago, before KSA and UAE built pipelines bypassing the strait into the Arabian and Red seas. However, it would hurt regional and global economies but it would be in a short term. The question Iranians should have asked themselves is what is the price of closing such a vital lane? For sure, the price would be very dear. Their army installations adjacent to the Arabian gulf would be wiped out. It's a very crazy thing to even think of.

Interesting... With GCC openly backing FSA and Russia-China in no mood to shun Assad, things might become complicated. We have another Afghanistan in making. Only this time there is no Pakistan to start Mujahiddin factories ...

True. Also, back in the mid 80s we built a pipeline as we were concerned about the escalation of the 1st Gulf war ,but now more pipelines were installed from UAE ,till the central region of KSA.

:lol:don't forget the Chinese! Obviously those folks aren't angels. They buy oil from Iran.

Iran will signe its death certificate simply if she ever attempt to do so. Khamineni has threatened to close the striate many times maaaan barking dog seldom bite. he Knows exactly his country will turn into ashes if he attempt to!

Same would happen if Egypt decides to close the suez canal.
So nothing special.., they will not do it

It's not only the heavy destruction it would get, but also they would lose the very last international sympathy by sky rocketing oil prices which would badly affect every country and every person directly.
