Why Pakistan cannot say sorry to Bangladesh

yeah there was no country named Pakistan in the world before 1947.

Pakistan came into being on 14th August 1947.
India occurred on 15th August 1947.

Free History lesson -

Dominions of India and Pakistan came into existence on 15th August, 1947 nothing happened on 14th August.

In case of India, it was merely the transfer of power and there was continuity as India acquired all assets and debts of erstwhile British India.

Some was obviously given to Pakistan as an act of goodwill.

Should have concentrated on Pakistanis as Indians have the habit of paying in full.

Biryani fest thread for all gutter dueling trolls. Trolls coming here like magnets. :pop:
Imran Khan and El sidd on a mission to touch million post ceiling in pdf. Both in my ignore list. PDF looks clean that way.
Btw very few people actually care about these. Other than politically motivated people and Indians.

This again....well, at least the writer is an Indian..

However, given Pakistan’s gradual morphing into a terror-sponsoring state from its theocratic origins, beginning from its intervention in the Afghan civil war, its refusal to apologize to Bangladesh is not surprising.
No wonder...
For the military hawks, drug lords, and Islamic extremists running Islamabad’s foreign policy, it was preferable to go along with international Muslim terrorism and maintain a pro-Jihadi image post-1971.
True.
Pakistan may boast of having more cars than Bangladesh and smartphones, but the former eastern province enjoys better forex reserves ($32 billion as against $14bn), more mobiles (84% of people as against 68%), registers a better GDP growth, and less foreign debt
Last I heard Pakistan's forex reserve is negative...lol.....
despite receiving only a fraction of Pakistan’s level of foreign aid.
And Pakistan dislikes Murika......their biggest donor....what can be expected from them?
Bangladesh does not suffer crippling power cuts like Pakistan, consuming around 16,000 megawatts daily, a figure expected to touch 22,000 MWs in the 2020s. In garments exports, it ranks second in the world.
Aha...aha... @Valar.
Especially on TV channels, it has been heartening to see young Pakistanis listening with interest to the Bangladeshi national anthem and wishing their “brothers in the East all well.”
Thank you. We wish you well too.

It is a shame Pakistan refuses to apologize for the genocide.

And coming from the one that actually helped Muktos to kill many and paint it as Pakistan Army doing. It is a shame that Modi acknowledged the same openly yet no sane mind take it to him as this is not something to be proud of.

See India never demanded apology from Pakistan for Partition of India.

Rather, India should thank Pakistan as you are breathing freely today.

They got their so called policy by musharraf. If bangladesh actually wants better relations then it must let go of the past and look towards the future. Pakistan has time and time again extended hand to work together but only received this apology nonsense.

The article is one of the most misinformed and childish articles i have ever seen. Unrealistic and devoid of the realities of the events of 1971 as well as the social and political realities that engulf the subcontinent.

Fact is that Bangladesh can be as obsessed of pakistan as possible but frankly we are not interested. Our entire focus right now is the west, central Asia and middle east....

Anyhow keep crying for an apology that will never come. Be happy with what you got. It has nothing to do with deep state rubbish. The world doesn't revolve around the deep state.

Musharraf apology to Bangladesh

By David Blair in Islamabad

12:01AM BST 31 Jul 2002

President Pervaiz Musharraf of Pakistan took a bold step yesterday when he implicitly apologised for the atrocities that scarred Bangladesh's war for independence from his country in 1971.

Gen Musharraf's expression of "regret", the first by a Pakistani military ruler, came during an official visit to Bangladesh.

His words received a mixed response, with the Bangladeshi government welcoming them but the country's opposition denouncing his gesture as inadequate.

Gen Musharraf visited a war memorial at Savar, near the capital, Dhaka, and left a handwritten note in the visitors' book.

"Your brothers and sisters in Pakistan share the pain of the events in 1971," he wrote. "The excesses committed during the unfortunate period are regretted. Let us bury the past in the spirit of magnanimity. Let not the light of the future be dimmed."

Nope. Musharraf just expressed his regret.

Does anyone actually wants better relation with Pakistan? From America to Afghanistan?
Anyhow keep crying for an apology that will never come.
I sometimes wonder, numerous Pakistani politicians(Like Nawaz and Imran Khan) have stated that the way West Pakistani regime handled events of 1971 was a mistake....If they understand this much then why is it so hard to make a formal apology? Since they understand its their mistake.....

I mean if you guys don't think there was any mistake/wrongdoing then why you guys dismissed Gen Niazi and stripped him from all the honors he previously gained? Why Yahiya Khan was kept under house arrest until he was pretty much dead? They did everything alright, no?

Hmm....I don't really understand Pakistani psyche.....
