They are showing useless crap indian movies i.e bang bang, kick, happy new year in Pakistani cinema but banned movie haider which is all about kasmiri struggle, pakistani support for kashmir and suffering of kasmiri in the hands of Indian Army. How this movie is against the ideology of Pakistan to deserve a ban in Pakistan? It got very postive rating on IMDB

Haider is highly balanced movie and talks about both pakistan and Indian issue but it seems pakistan dont think their awaam is intellectual enough to adore a classic movie.

Yea i was waiting for it because i dont like mainstream masala type indian movies..always prefer different concept or unique story than these big budget crap but was dissapointed with ban

Well, apparently we have shit in positions which are "supposed" to make a difference...or basically who make shitty policies!
There must be some chawal in censor board

Probably there was no rain scene in see-through dress or the heroine didn't jump up and down much.

Well, if true, this is pretty surprising. Haider was being touted as anti-Indian on here and many Pakistanis seemed very eager to see it, looking at the plot it would seem like a would-be blockbuster in Pakistani cinemas.

RAW you beauty ;)

Well. There are two different kinds of Kashmiri struggle/ Separatists.
1. Independent Kashmir as an Autonomous state.
2. Independent Kashmir Integrated with Pakistan.:pakistan:
So according to my point of view this movie can subjects "Independent kashmir as an autonomous state". Obviously independent kashmir movement was initiated by international agencies to internationally degrade struggle of Kashmiri Mujahideen(Independent kashmir integrated with Pakistan ). You can read about this issue in given link.

There is nothing anti-India or pro-Pakistan or even pro-Kashmir in the movie. I have watched it multiple times and have yet to find any fore-mentioned rhetoric.

Its a simple adaptation of the Bard's Hamlet, using Kashmir as the restive backdrop to delve into the Oedipus complex of the protagonist and his thirst for revenge against his father's killer! If you ask me, depiction of Kashmir's political landscape was kind of pretty close enough as to what it actually was during the time. No heroes, no villains except for the principal characters.

but hey, how many people would actually understand the intricacies of The Bard's plays even if presented with dumbed down, abridged versions of them!!
