Dude, its just a matter of time a writ is filed in any high court or supreme court against this law and it will get cancelled by the court. It is against the fundamental right of a citizen, at least thats what I understand from our legal system and past case references.

Muslims and Christians liking to eat beef does not equate to eating of beef being a religious rite or necessity.

Please get real.

India will make laws that work for India. Slaughter of cows does not work for India. Ergo it will be banned.

Those who like eating beef would be advised to find another source of animal protein. Or immigrate to another country.

Ban on cow slaughter of any state has never ever been overturned by any HC or SC. Past case reference and common law ,as made clear in Mohd Hanif Qureshi vs State of Bihar, 1959 SCR 629:AIR 1958 SC 731, are in favour of banning cow slaughter.

Pork at least is more readiably available than beef. The big restaurants like Pizza Hut and Mcdonalds generally do not sell beef but sell pork. I am Lucknowi so I know. Also as I discussed finding halal is also difficult for us.
