@ topic - this is such a dishonest and utterly senseless argument it defies belief. There are many muslim parties, there is nothing that stops a party becoming a national party - the criteria is out there and is easy to achieve for even a reasonable party with presence in just 3 states. But in any case there is no undue advantage in becoming a national party anyway.

So the question is. then why would one ask such silly questions and arrive at pre-indoctrinated conclusions - except for the daily schadenfreude!

U counted wrong. Muslim majority states are only Lakshwadeep and Jammu and Kashmir. Assam, West Bengal and Kerala have a sizeable minority.

On Topic, Muslims should unite and move to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Kerala States. They are better off in States with high Muslim Populations to take over few State Governments. They are too dispersed and spread too thin to take advantage of their numbers.

There are 250 Million Muslims in India ( 20%). The Government of India lies about the true numbers of Muslims in India.

logic, 552 members of Lok Sabha, Lower house of parliament represent 1,241,491,960 people, that means statistacally every member of the LS represents 2249080 citizens of India. Now for for 160 million muslims, Half of them reside in multi-polar, multi-religious, urban and suburban environment and hence will compete with votes based on other issue's than muslim representation. Muslim representation will have a bigger election value in rural demographics is the other half representing around 80 million muslims, and with the % of LS members to Population size, the number is around 35.57 members and the elected number of mulim LS members are 30, and pretty close.

Also another aspect to be noted is, minority leaders from SC/ST also champion the cause of mulim political representation especially for the low income muslim areas.

Apart from that, In past two decades, BJP SS etc have polarized certain zones based on caste, creed and religion, and Communists and congress took that issue and drove further divide into the votebanks.

The bottom lime is Indian politics doesn't need muslim or hindu leaders who would uplift certain communities, it needs good leaders which will do developmental work irrespective of religion.

There are regional Muslim parties in India but not at any national level. Yeh there are a lot of Muslim politician in BJP and specially in congress. But only the Hindus have their national parties otherwise no other minority has any national party in India.

Muslims in India are too dispersed. They must unite and form Islamic political parties (like AKP and brotherhood) may be with a non-islamic name to lure deprived Hindus and christians into their vote bank. They should all flock in large numbers in certain high pop. states that have good representation in the Indian National assembly. Thereby they can easily grab a large percentage of seats in the Lok shaba nullifying the advantage that congress takes from muslims.

I don't think any muslims are there in BJP. Name only "muslims" are not real muslims. And muslims in congress are not religious and hence don't look after the interest of muslim pop.
