Why is Pakistani TV news such low quality compared to Afghanistan?

I recently watched TOLO TV channel of Afghanistan and I was amazed how good it was. It was actually a real news program with good camera quality and clear bulletins easy to understand. I was surprised how good Afghan news media is compared to Pakistan.

Geo, Dunya, and Samaa are absolute trash compared to Afghan news outlets. Pakistani media dramatizes headlines, uses terrible graphics, and has the worst camera quality I have ever seen. How does Afghanistan have clear HD cameras for their news but Pakistan has 480p resolution? Afghan reporters are better too, they stick to the facts while half the time Pakistani reporters are just making up new headlines for more clickbait.

I wish Pakistan had a real TV channel as good as TOLO. Instead all of Pakistan's media is rubbish like India.

Have to agree Pakistani or Indian tv channels have such low quality display, the display is not HD. Look at PTV. Pakistan needs to improve studio quality.

Tolo News is owned by Moby Media Group which in turn has connections with Rupert Murdoch (read about Saad Moheseni). Simply put American money and professionalism is behind Tolo, its not an Afghanistani channel.

As for our media the less said the better. Its a circus.

Tolo Is a state TV. Everything is censored and everyone behaves accordingly. But the Pakistani one which you shared the clip of is a private local channel. Better compare it with ptv. Rest I agree the local media outlets must introspect and cut on that idiotically annoying animations and flashers. Can't watch a breaking news without hurting my eye sight.

Modern Pakistan TV news channels are all rip offs of indian gangu bhayya news channels. The accents, the dramatization, the standards that they have set up for themselves are all from those gangu bhayya news channels like aaj tak, india today, zee news etc.

This is also the reason that you don't feel any kind of evolutionary link of these news channels with classic PTV news style from 80s for example. Because these news channels are not built upon the traditions of PTV news presentation but rather on the indian gangu bhayya news channels like zee news etc.

many media news channels are designed as flashy entertainment which is generally known as tabloid press.
there is audience for such non-serious and sensational format which lacks journalistic integrity or depth. there is no intention to follow up news which has any public interest.

now people watch these news and political talk shows as a comedy.
and those that seek real news have to go around looking for international news outlets that have some relative integrity.

just like our movie industry is influenced by Bollywood, in same sense our news outlets have some influence from similar Indian news channels.

I think its because most of media houses and their media owners are from Karachi like Geo, ARY and especially that POS Samaa. And that's why most of the times, issues of Karachi are being discussed on media channels as if rivers of milk are flowing in rest of Pakistan.
