Tell me except for ancient India which country you think is most important in world and then I will answer you.....

@Color_Less_Sky ...nice try ....but answer my question first...

Anyways,

China interested in multiple investment projects ranging from port, energy, to defense etc (world says they are the new emerging super power do they count as important?)

Russia interested recently in defense sale contracts, previously they installed steel mill, and in future they will ask to benefit from Gawadar (World could not do a f**k about then in Ukraine Do they count as important?)

The whole of NATO and US discussing Afghanistan and its problems, peace in the region and literally begging us for a safe honorable exit and bring Afghan Taliban to discussion table (do they count as important?)

Suadi Arab a major oil supplier of the world, world says we are producing nukes for them (do they count as important?)

Do I need to go any further...........................

The talks or talks about talks are a waste of time. They wont yield anything except a few cheesy artificial hand-shakes and some camera photos for the press. Nothing else. Not being cynical just being realistic.

True, but Pakistan is suffering more from the unstable situation and the overfocus on India isn't it? Be it limited improvements of the economy, be it the terrorist issue that should be more important for Pakistanis itself, then keeping the decades old suspicion on India (and ours on Pakistan) alive.
When we take out the blame games and history, both countries simply have more important things to deal with, than with eachother and both countries would gain more from stability in the region, than from beeing seen as two 3rd world countries with nukes. We have to develop our countries, which doesn't mean we have to do it together, but at least to live next to each other without tensions and showing that things can get better.

The simple fact that we have to admit that talks today won't change anything at the moment, is a loss for both sides. There is simply no interest from the Pakistani side and with the current Indian government, things are going backwards than forward. Pakistan sadly didn't used the will of UPA government to change things, now hardliners on both sides are in control and no hope in sight.

More sadly to this, previous BJP govt actually misuse Musharraf'd Agra's Visit and true intentions and that lost opportunity will not come again so easily next time....

Obama pressure is talking loudly my friend ..........what do you expect them to do .......??? they have no choice but to talk

If no talks then what do we expect...war? Nawaz and Sartaj has been complaining everywhere - the UN, OIC, to America, and everywhere in between - Sartaj even complained to Kerry that India isn't willing to talk. It's like a constant wail on our back. Obama was pestered by Nawaz during their telephone calls about India Pakistan dialogue so much that he had to carry Nawaz's message personally. Now, how do we refuse a guest's request? - "athithi devo bhava". Chalo yeh drama shuru rakhthein hain - for the sake of a friend.

1st, It is Pakistans civilian Govt. that wants peace, and the BJP about 90% while 10% are RSS fundamentalist.
Photo OP or not, Pakistan shares a huge border with India. Trade will help Pakistan and India reach better long term solutions for disputes including Kashmir.
I have high expectations of the civilians in power in Pakistan, but the generals in politics is another matter.
China, Russia or Saudi funding will come with a tag and either way, they can not help Pakistan in the manner India can by reducing cost of everyday consumables. Saudi money is why Whabi is getting stronger in Pakistan, even though alien to South Asia. The moderate Islam of South Asia was the best option for Islam in Pakistan, and requires this. With Saudi money, they will set up their Whabi madrassas! and that on its self is dangerous. Islam was successfully because of Sufis in South Asia not the sword.
2nd elements in Pakistan will not want this like LeT whom are powerfull enough to effect Pak forign policy either with rallies or the occasional act of terror in Pak or India to derail talks with India. That is to be expected, however if peace has a chance in this region we need to ignore these misfits because they don't have a economic plan! they can not bring prosperity to South Asia.
If Pakistan can have good relations with India, and stand on its own with out IMF or US aid they can contribute to Afganistan and become the all so important link between 1 billion people to central Asia.

South Asia needs development, however these talks can not be held hostage with the minority RSS flunkies or LeT morons. India expecially needs to stop re-acting against Pakistan, everytime there is a major attack on India via LeT or other flunkies because that is what they want... In short India needs to stop being so SHORT sited! This needs to be recognized.
For Pakistan, they need greater control of the army, simple as that. If the army stops messing in politics, NO matter how corrupt he or she is that will bring change.
US needs to stop supporting Pakistan when its near bankruptcy because the Pak Army doesn't learn anything.
China is playing the same strategy in Afghanistan as India for socio and economic development for fear of terror. A wise policy but they need to limit their development in Pakistan, especially the deals that rip Pakistan off in the form of curropt deals, and instead focus on investment in technical trade schools!
Russia, has no money to lend, little impact will be made by Russia as they look at Ukraine and Far East. They however do need a link to Iran with they have to some extent but more importantly they also need a link to India to sell gas.
Saudi assitance shouldn't be acceapted. The Saudi's are the most short sited people in govt. ever! they have not merit. Pakistan will not build any bomb for Saudi Arabia nore is the bomb or Pak Army a muslims bomb, it is a bomb, of the Pak Army aimed at India about which 15% are muslim. Saudi oil could help in the short term but they will come with strings attached, and I don't see a short term problem in mutual assistance but long term Suadi funding has been a bad thing, NO matter where it is, ie Africa or Pakistan or Bangladesh.

In conclusion, if Pakistan wants to better the lives of Pakistanis that are not preoccupied by politics, they need to get better relations with India, this would open avenues that have been blocked off since the 60s, Schools in India should be available to Pakistani's, more trade will not hurt any nations and reduce the burden on the average Pakistani civilian. The richer Pakistan becomes in trying to catch up with India or the developing world, the more power full Pakistan becomes. Pakistan needs to stop being a security seeking state and become a trading state. Ultimately it is trading states that get more security than a security state.

actually i say the same about india....all of your terrorist attacks and rebellions in your country are domestic and home grown - for examples the naxals, bodo rebels, ULFA factions....I suggest india tend to its domestic/home-grown terrorism problem rather than focus on instability in Pakistan

i agree that both countries have more important things to deal with

Which however are not threatening Pakistan and that's the difference, the only reason for Indian government to care about the stability in Pakistan are the the threat the terrorists poses to India. That's why it is in India's interest, if Pakistan takes on all terrorists equally and why proper relations between both countries might help. But as long as Pakistan divides between good and bad terrorists, with India in mind, it's not that surprising that the Indian government don't have much hope on improving relations isn't it? So it's on Pakistan to show difference and prove the that we can go beyond the past, then we can focus on our terrorists and you on yours.

Well then what's the minimum positive sign that your government could do, to show that they want to move on?

Yea good india is not Interested that is why pakistan is sending its secretory to india under pressure from America ????:crazy::crazy::crazy:

Rather pakistan is not interested we dont want any talks with india

Didn't Pakistan (Shariff Government) give the Most favored Country Status to India? Now you are claiming that you don't want to talk? Weird!

They are direct threats to YOUR country. They are the single largest threat to india, even modi's predecessor admitted that. So forget Pakistan we are busy fighting against other enemies right now, no need to deliberately provoke Pakistan when its busy fighting a very complex insurgency
