Why is India not interested in talks with Pakistan?

to be honest Pakistan isn't desperate for talks either with india.....there's no incentive. You violate the ceasefire agreement @ Loc, your leaders make provocative statements time to time - and you are trying to divert the attention of our armed forces FROM the western border to the east, since any prospect of Pakistan securing the western sector perturbs the indian govt. and security apparatus which thrives off instability @ Af-Pakistan region.

long story short - Pakistan isn't in a rush for "talks" with endia....if that were the case, our High Commissioner wouldnt use 'secretary level talks' as a reason to shun talks with Kashmiri nationalist groups such as APHC

Listen fellow,you lack knowledge in this topic.India was in a delusion,they were thinking"Oh,shit,we the bad boyz,f**k,there's no need for talks",luckily India has realized they have to handle issues such as firing at the LoC etc,etc ,thus talks.and Pakistan foreign minister never rushed to India or anything,Pakistan had only pressurized India for talks and India responded intelligently.

as for modi i think he started his policy even before he became PM officialli and made his first move by calling all the heads of states of SAARC in his swearing in cermony

he very well knew that if the heat on domestik front increases onli option for pakistani establishment was singing kashmir raag and re start the infiltration and same oldpressure taktiksbut this time response was not as mild as they calculated + there own people are now getting warry when they see that the policy of bleeding india dry thru 1000 cuts had back fired big time

now as forwest and USA and russia and china all had been on riciving end of this demon of terrorism but were all buying time and they did .... onli pakistan and saudies dint judge it properlli but afghanies had done there homework with full coopration from india


now even pakistani establishment is repenting the fact that they had been propogating wrong policy with regards to afghanistan and results are beyond repair in pakistan deu to that policy

as for SAARC pakistan or no pakistani coopration new machenism is almost ready + indian trade is not dependent on routes to central asiaand we have the iran corridoar aswell and with owr helpeven US has greed to break icewith iran

things are pretty complex but they are going smoothli as planned for india , USA , iran and afghanistan if china comes on board it will be great


so in short pakistan dosent has much to offer to india as per owr future planning so its more pakistan that needs us thanwe need pakistan

Iran corridor is not ready,if i'm not wrong.Brother you misunderstood me,Pakistan does have much to offer (a cheaper and easier route for trade with Afghanistan and Iran) but that's not the point, India needs to talk to Pakistan to solve the issues such as firing at LOC,no body likes to see innocent people dying on any side of the border.Hope you get my point,there is much more to talk about.
