Why is Chahbahar not burning?

Regardless if Iran is or is not harboring terrorists against Pakistan.. I am sure Iranian intelligentsia can appreciate the restrain being shown by Pakistan so far.

Arab world, esp the current hawkish leadership, would only be too happy to sponsor an old ally, who knows a thing or two about covert wars, against their mortal enemy. That would be a nightmare for Iran. Brigades of illiterate jihadis, with the backing of an experienced intelligence agency, chanting "death to the infidels" blowing up in Tehran. I pray that Iran Gov comes to its senses before this madness starts.

And now that the Taliban finally have to actually run Afghanistan, they also need something new to distract their masses. And Shia Iran is a very juicy target.

Point being, things can go real bad real quick for Iran if it keeps hosting these rats against Pakistan.
yeah , but i think they understand it well and are willing to take the risk, they don't mind another enemy. Just look at their engagements on the globe. I have advocated neutrality in the Pakistani approach but this is getting harder to do now with each passing day.

Same.. I also want neutrality. And do not hope for another hot front but they are making it difficult to stay quiet.

You said "they don't mind another enemy".. but thats my point. Pakistan is not going to be just another enemy.

sure Pakistan can do much especially the groups you talk about, they will be more than happy to oblige considering the differences in ideology, but Iranians are quite clever maybe they are counting on indians to keep us busy?

Situation(internally) is dire in Iran. They desperately want some foreign adventure to distract their masses from domestic issues and to rally behind the regime against bad foreigners who are all part of some grand alliance against Iran. That's why they are trying to piss off people from left/right/centre/east/west/north/south. They have nothing left to lose while others have some/alot to lose. Question is, who is gonna give them war?

Houthis are attacking Arabs daily.
Iranian proxies attacking us daily.
Time for Pakistan with the help of Arab money make it hell for Iranians!

Mr. Wahhabi !
Do not spread your Wahhabism in this forum,

Who is funding Wahhabi Madrasahs in Pakistan?
Its not Saudis?

And same, Saudis are not Wahhabis?

Al Qaeda, Afghan/Pakistan Taliban, Jindullah, Jaish e Mohammad, Sipah e Sahhaba are not Wahhabis?
These Yazidi groups are not destabilizing Pakistan?

Same Wahhabi Group TTP (Pakistani Taliban) did not declared Quaid e Azam as Kafir e Azam?

But what more are Indians going to do? They are already doing everything short of a shooting war on our borders. I doubt they'd start one for Iran.

This is also an indirect attack against Chinese interests, they are beneficiaries of Gwadar.

Pakistan must take the initiative and China should work together with us to create a decisive counter-strategy. It is only right to reciprocate with our own gift.

When will we have leaders that actually have manly parts between their legs? Right now all we show is weakness to the world, hence it is so easy for people to ignore our sovereignty, even poverty ridden and starving Afghanistan is doing so.

Finally, somebody gets it.

Will & Capacity are intrinsically linked. We used to have the capacity and the will.

Then we lost the will, because realism/realpolitik-based deterrence --- the foundation of peace against a larger, belligerent adversary --- is apparently not taught to gens and statesmen in Pakistan despite PMAs, NDUs, cut-throat political experiences, etc. Naive delusions started ruling the day, like concessions to India = peace. Retarded!

Then we lost the capacity, as there was no will to maintain those capabilities.

Now, we have neither. I am not stating this as an opinion; I know this as a fact. Massive Indian investments in cyber/intel (2-3 new dedicated agencies, an NSA who is a career hardcore spy with experience of covert ops, etc.) AND massive US assistance, including the provision of real-time top-sec SIGINT from the National Security Agency have made building capacities EXTREMELY difficult for Pak at this stage, even if we magically develop the balls.

I have asked this question on this forum and elsewhere repeatedly, why is Chahbahar not burning? It is a well-known fact that Iran is hosting BLF militants and their leadership (not to say they do not have a mass presence in Balochistan too). Indian presence in Iran much like Afghanistan in times of foreign presence is not a secret anymore either with the capture of Yadav. India is investing heavily in Chahbahar to gain access to Central Asia at some point in the future and this is not a distant dream. It has deep pockets, it can achieve this with time. CPEC and Gwadar port development on the other hand are both at odds with Indian/Iranian interests. Since the fall of Kabul, Iran has become a rallying point for those militants (and militant leaders) who had to be repatriated from Afghanistan. In light of these developments, what are we waiting for? Why are we not actively undermining Chahbahar port and making the region unstable so as to respond in kind to Indo-Iranian machinations? In the hindsight, (I was one of the people who hailed neutrality in the Yemen conflict) even our neutrality in the Yemen conflict created a gulf between us and our traditional Khaleeji Arab allies. The void created was exploited by India there too. On the one hand, we were unable to secure Iranian cooperation, on the other, we also angered our traditional Arab allies. It is time for some serious strategic reorientation on all these fronts.

This is a very hurtful post. The TTP and BLA are operating from Afghanistan ….. we know the UAE is responsible for so much terrorism in Balochistan I.e. gawadar. Why not take action there first. Why would we fight with our brothers in Iran. Why not sit down and figure out a solution.

We have massive leverage vis a vis China and Russia with Iran and have good people to people contact as well. Why would we pick up arms.

Point is the state of Pakistan is very weak. From universities to madrasaas to political parties to corrupt bureaucracy, nothing is being effectively monitored by the intelligence community. Pakistani state power is unable to deal with security challenges and its elite is clueless.

It’s true. I would blame establishment for that. They allowed PPP and PMLN to pass 18 amendment to make Pakistan internally weaker. Idea of 18 amendment came from search institution in DC on how to support corrupt mafia to weaken Pakistan.

It’s pretty mush possible to fix these but it will require a will power and commitment.

Wahhabi who?

Iran is a cancer to the region and cancer to the world.
I see Iran backed groups destabilizing Pakistan.
Iran and india are in bed 24/7.
What happened to Iran being anti Zionist when india is literally the biggest Zionists after Israel?

Your a typical Iranian brainwashed bot. I can’t waste my precious time replying to a brainwashed brain dead person.

No need to extend the conflict, to Iran. Pakistan's kitty is already more than full.
smart, plus i hate to say this- Pakistan might end up like Saudi Arabia attacking Iran, because it will suck out the Pakistani state- it wont win, and it will likely take alot of losses, and be expensive. Just sayin, if US hasnt tried an attack all this while, whats Pakistan's odd of doing one on Iran and succeeding?
