Why is bicycle not popular in Pakistan?

Changing people's perception and promoting the idea that bicycles are associated with hardworking and industrious individuals rather than poverty could definitely have an impact over time. Posters and other awareness campaigns might be a great way to spread this message and encourage more people to consider cycling. Of course, it's important to acknowledge that certain factors like hot weather and road conditions can affect the feasibility of cycling in some areas.

Pakistani's are too lazy. The culture resolves around praying, coming home to sleep the day and then eating sweet food, fatty food. Then praying. Then sleeping again.

Anything requiring physical effort is to be avoided at all costs.
eating is exercise in pakistan, now how many roti you want to eat and that too with fatty lassi.

By the way, if you're a cyclist in the UK, you might want to check out Sundays Insurance for bike insurance coverage. Their website, https://sundaysinsurance.co.uk/, provides options to protect your bike and have peace of mind while cycling.

just fyi, its 42 degree Celsius in islamabad, maybe even more in central and southern pakistan.

Don't you have cycling clubs where boys/girls cycle early morning and evening ? Only ludhiana has 5 cycling groups that I know of with around 150 -200 sports orientated cyclists

That is not using the bicycle, just because there are 10 Jeep Willis clubs in a city doesn't mean everyone is driving Jeep Willis. And yes even Afghanistan has Cycling clubs its not a new invention.

Bicycles are probably not very common in Pakistan due to the extreme heat that we have 9 months out of 12. How can anyone go the office on a bicycle in 40 Degree Celsius?
