Why India Should be a permanent member in UN security council?

once the responsible and peaceful Communist Party of India (maoist) assumes power, we can consider giving support for India to join UNSC.

Well, India should not be allow as a permanent member in UN security council, reason is pretty obvious, why?
Look, when UN is condemning India's oppressive "Caste-System" an abuse to human right, so only until the day India able to eliminate this evil system, no way India should be a member of security council period.:yahoo:
India's caste system a human rights abuse: UN :coffee:

once india has more influence then it can/ probably will join some how but right now..... outside of it immediate region its pull is not so great

I mean who cares about the UN. They dont control money. The IMF, ADB and the WB do that. India should be focused on increasing its clout there. More the votes India gets in these bodies, the more the UN will become irrelevant.

No, isn't it all too obvious now? Clearly, there's going to be a revolution in India within the decade.

I think China will be divided in to 6-8 countries before the revolution.

We need a permanent membership and we will fight for it. No need to talk rubbish here.

Is that a qualification rule to UN?
The same UN has for long condeming China for HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION AND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM! In that case does china deservers its seat? Be careful, you dont know when you will disapper in your country!

I dont know that HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION AND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM are blessed by UN! Dont keep on talking the same. Try something new

中华人民共和国,below_freezing:-there is going to be no revolution India the only way Maoist can come to power is by standing for elections

Some of the arguments are weird. China actually will gain if India becomes a member of the permanent security council. China and India pretty much face similar issues and similar fight for global resources. Issues such as who controls global money, police waters, health resources for their population, trade potential, agriculture and power subsidies, genetic crops, WTO etc. are all so common to both countries than between any other 2 countries in the world. There would be very few areas where China and India would disagree. When this is the case, intelligent Chinese must know that India on the council would actually be very advantageous to Chinese causes. I have zero doubt that China will actually support India's bid for a permanent security council seat. Control of global resources trumps every other issue between India and China. Times have changed indeed!

Don't think so. In the fight for controlling global resources the only powerful competitors are USA, China and India (Russia is a net resource exporter). USA is an obvious competitor but so is India. In fact, india is a much tougher competitor. americans can't get much fatter, but india has very high potential.

In fact the fight for resources such as water and land bring into conflict our 2 nations. Other than fighting for resources we do not share any similar problems. We don't have armed insurgencies, we don't have starvation, and we don't have epidemic fatal diseases.

Nice for you to mention healthcare. Malaria has been eliminated in China; not in India. TB has been almost eliminated in China; not in India. Our infectious disease profile in almost every area except Hepatitis B is close to developed countries.healthcare is not a non-renewable resource. It is in fact a highly renewable resource limited only by artificial restraints such as price (as long as the technology is there; and we do have the technology), and not by inability to extract resources.

Whats all this BS about India deserving a seat and in the UN and China,USA not deserving them.:hitwall::hitwall:
The P5 got to where they were coz they were on the victorious side of the war and thats the reality.:toast_sign:
Deserving or not deserving a U.N perm seat is B.S If India want it it needs to put on its diplomacy hat on and bargain, force(military might),pay(Economic treaties) and talk its way in.
All this talk of deserving this or that i fit for melodramatic movies and for International Diplomacy:azn:
