What's new

Why have most journalists turned against Imran khan?

Lawyers, judges and journos. Professions which should be highly noble are a disgrace in most developing nations. Pakistan is no exception.
media should be allowed to work with freedom .

Tell that to Modi.

These journalists are like kids. They will keep asking for stuff and if you don't give them that thing they will start crying

Everything is put in hands of bureaucracy.
That's how things are supposed to run. Legislators legislate - they don't do development projects or collect trash. That responsibility should flow from local governments through the local bureaucracy. The problem is that this concept (initially attempted by Musharraf) was basically thrown away under the PMLN and Showbaz Sharif.

The way Shahbaz Sharif ran things is simply not sustainable and cannot be scaled up. Yes, you get one or two cities like Lahore where he was able to direct his focus and people saw tangible improvement, but one man cannot replicate that same focus and attention across a province of 110 million.

That said, the PTI REALLY needs to implement its local government system in Punjab and promote it in the media and educate people on how their vote for local government officials will translate into local services.

Throwing your own party members a dinner before senate election is nothing wrong. That "party " has a function. They are party members not liffafas.
Yeh zarraye koi aliens ho Jo in lifafo ko har cheez bata jate hein?

Every anchor is

politician, journalist, economist, scientist, coas, judge, doctor, prime minister of many countries and they know everything by sitting in 1 room.

I think that when nawaz sharif got disqualified these journalists realised PTI will win next election. So they become "uthaoo" of PTI. They become extremely in favour of PTI thinking when PTI wins imran khan will reward these journalists generously for supporting him. But when that didn't happen these journos felt betrayed and rest is history

Since the first day imran khan became prime minister. One by one almost all of mainstream media journalists have turned against Imran khan. Many of these journalist were staunch supporters of him, by what went wrong.

PM Khan is harshly criticised every day or every news channel on every program. Extreme amount of propaganda is done against him. And routinely fake news against him is spread by some "senior journalist".

In my opinion, the reason is not the way imran khan is running this country, neither his economic policies nor high level appointments. The main reason is Imran khan has effectively put an end to expensive "gifts" given to Mainstream media journalists. In previous governments terms most of journalists were given expensive stuff by the government. They were given expensive plots of land for free. They got millions of rupees every year. Many different gifts. They were continuously invited to parties and served with expensive food and returned with more gifts every time. Journalists were given free rides on Private and government cars, planes and helicopters whenever PM, CM or top government officials went anywhere. They could easily get favours out of government. Their requests was accepted.

But now all of this has come to an end as Imran khan wants to reduce government expenses. The result is you will constantly see journalists for example Rauf klasra, hamid mir etc making entire shows criticising and mocking Khan for serving just tea and water. Many journalists mock him that he doesn't even provide biscuits and luxury foods and gifts. And this will keep getting worse and worse. Just look at any show of Rauf klasra and you can see he has become mentally retarded. He always looks like he's about to cry on tiny things.

Imran khan has hit these journalists on a level never seen before. He has put an end to these people being "playboys"

NOTE : this is my opinion and based on what I see and hear
na khata hay na khilata hay... in kee rishwaat wali rozi roti ko laat mari hay IK nay..

According to Dr Shahid Masood, these days parties and dinners are being thrown at electables to ensure the Senate seats.
Shahid Masood showed himself to be a degenerate and despicable individual when he made fun of the Prime Minister distributing food to the needy. When your moral compass is that out of whack, anything you say should be thrown in the gutter where you live.

Second, parties and dinners are completely acceptable. Politicians host these in the West to raise funds or gain support from their donors etc and corporations and suppliers host these to build relationships with each other.

What isn't acceptable is outright bribing politicians with millions or billions to vote in your favor or help push the votes in your favor.

Yep!

You'll recall how a bunch of them were whining and crying about how 'Imran Khan doesn't even offer a cup of Chai'.

These are all spoilt, corrupt brats who got completely used to huge benefits at the expense of the Pakistani taxpayer under the PMLN & PPP.

NA members are called LAWMAKERS. But do any of them even have a law degree?

Don't need a law degree to be a law maker. There are physicians, businessmen and a former waitress (AOC) in the US Congress.

Congressional aides and staff are supposed to assist law makers with the details and procedures necessary for legislation and experts can be called in to assist with technical aspects. Law makers are supposed to act in the best interest of their constituents. You don't need a law degree to support reforms in the bureaucracy or police, for example.

If anything, given the state of our lawyers, bars and judiciary, making a law degree a condition for becoming a legislator would only make things worse. Pakistan's legal profession itself is in dire need of reforms.

Sad truth.

So you think in 2023 there will be 1 party pdm(11 party under 1) and 1 party PTI?

If so and people gave vote to pdm then it will be better for PTI to step down and boycott the election and then enjoy the show.

Amazing thing is just say " mere zarai nei bataya hie", meri bird nie bataya hie etc. that this is happening and no one knows what that source is may be lefafa lol.
PDM together kicked out mushi, they will together kick out IK

however, i believe PMLN alone will be in position to form govt in 2023
1. He cannot be nearly as crap as Nawazoo.
2. The country is still doing much better than during Nawazoo's rule.
perception is more important then facts

perception that IK is incompetent has finally been taken into peoples mind

regardless 2018 was poor planning by PMLN, if PMLN is able to buy back south punjab electables it should easily win 2023 election

There is a LOT of groundwork being laid for long term benefits.

I shudder to think how badly Pakistan will be impacted if PTI does not win the next elections and we go back to the days of Nawaz & Zardari and patronage politics.

In Pakistan nobody cares how someone earn the money. Only thing matter is "paisa Tu ha na" . There no moral value in this country. Pml n and ppp is our future. Imran khan is here to stabilise macroeconomic a bit so they can eat it again. Just like mushraf after 90's corruption .
