I took one bite with fake naan, got up and threw my money at him and told him that he is lucky I'm not spiting in his face. Yes..

Food gets developed over time.. Pakistan was established 70 years ago but our cuisine existed and developed over centuries and millenia with infusion from muslims across central asia, persia and arabia

Now the cuisine is commonly known as indian because we were all india at one point, and its difficult breaking out of a sub category especially if customers think they are getting something different then they are used to

But indian food is terrible unless you like lentils, chickpeas snd rice with everything
The food that is loved and became famous is basically muslim food and dishes with lamb, beef, chicken etc and its what Pakistani's and the Bengalis cook...

But as I pointed out you can tell our restaurants from the menu and the names

The fact is that Pakistanis don’t name their restaurants after India... some big names:

MyLahore (UK), Karachi Dalbar (UAE), Nawaab (UK), Lahori Karahai (UK), Shezan (Qatar), Qutba (Qatar)...

I can go on, the thing is “Indian Cuisine” reffers to the Indian subcontinent and not India. Just like the Indian Ocean. It’s because of the subcontinent.

Simple. Because Pakistani's have very weak sense of identity. Pakistan is just a passport. This is evident in how they use terms like "Desi, Asian, Apna and most often Indian" for culture, foods, history etc.

Not really.. apart from few dishes imported by Urdu speakers from their respective regions in India... also called “mughlai cuisine” by indians .. obviously due to Mughals.

And vegetarian & a few chicken dishes shared by panjabis (who make 2% of India)

Sindh,KPK,Balochistan,G-B,Southern & potohar regions don’t share anything with indians.
