Why defence.pk on Facebook is so different than the Forum?

Hi,
So here's something that i have been contemplating to share with the fellow members of defence.pk. It's about the explicit difference between Facebook's defence.pk & the one here i.e the forum. Here are some of my observations:

1. Admin on facebook is a lot courteous & friendlier than it is here.

2. Anti-Pakistan and Anti religious tones are frequent on the forum.

3. On the forum being a 'liberal fascist'------ blindly advocating western values, gets you a big thumbs up.Give this a try on facebook and you'll get a response that wont be easy to shake off. (How about praising Miss Malala on facebook's defence.pk, just to test my assertion.....?)

4. On facebook admin itself relies on anti-Indian posture to score big with it's 3.2 million subscribers.

5. The Pakistani members on the forum are dwindling away. (How many active Pakistani members are here.....? I don't even think that the numbers will go beyond double digits if sincerely counted.)

6. Here if somebody asks a noob query, they are rudely guided towards Mr. Manticore's "Info threads".

I guess that is all from my side, I'll leave the rest for the other members to share.

@WebMaster Your input please..........................Speaking of PLEASE. A teacher of mine once told me that it is one of the magic words.......Which will always come in handy no matter wherever you are or who you are dealing with. Whenever i go to type a comment, i see this warning in quite a threatening tone........If it's not the case then why the word PLEASE is missing from there?
And last but not the least "Dear defence.pk admin! Please don't summon your emergency staff conference over this in your "secret" headquarter to penalize me for trying to discuss the "higher ups" and their actions .

You didn't get my point. There is more Indian bashing on facebook's defence.pk than here......over there admin is part of it.

I run the Facebook and Twitter along with a small team.

Our social media strategy Is not applicable to the forums. This place is for debate and criticising Pakistan is okay here because we want fresh ideas to drive the debate.

The page and forum are different in many ways but inevitably linked in other ways. Here on the forum, the liberal extremists such as yours truly, are over represented as a percentage of all concerned Pakistanis. Not all those 3 million are forum material, nor would they enjoy forum style or forum level discussion which goes above and beyond small statements and brief multimedia. A certain level of understanding, intellect, education, and rabid obsession is needed to be what most PDF members are, and this is inevitably different from most (not all) of those who simply like a page on facebook and follow posts and multimedia.

PDF and other forums like it are an older brand of multimedia, not outdated, but the forum like this were the biggest thing before the end of the mid-2000's. Expanding the to meet the newer forms such as twitter and facebook were needed. The team on those ends have done a phenomenal job, it is hard for me to imagine even now how their success has been achieved and just how much work has been put into it. I for one am certainly far too incompetent with the new social media to be even part of that whole operation.
