Why Bangladesh’s Matarbari port is a game changer for India

I am not talking about flood water. I am talking about water in the lean period. Bangladesh never gets enough water from India in the dry season. Why do we have to preserve water? If India does not disrupt natural flow of the rivers nobody needs to preserve water.

Why cry over a dead issue? There is more water in BD than it needs.

Is not it the reason that all the water goes to the BoB?

Farakka has good effects. Very low floods in the south-western region of greater Kushtia, Faridpur, and Barisal, people cultivate IRRI/ Borro paddy in December-April period. Water Table is quite high. I hope you know what is underground water table.

BD needs raw materials of the Indian NE. Japan wants to create co-prosperity area involving NE and BD.

Indian NE economy certainly will get a boost after Matarbari completion. Our truckers and ship-owners will also get jobs of transporting goods to and from the NE.

Matarbari will keep on expanding more and it needs income to pay back to JAICA. Some stupid here thinks BD does not have to pay back a dime and everything is free.

Hello genius, how can Bangladeshi truckers be benefitted from this? Bangladesh has given transit rights to India so as per the transit agreement it is the Indian truckers who will carry goods across Bangladesh.

Growth and trade relations for all countries is based on relations which are even-keeled.

If Indians keep exporting $50 Billion to us while we export $2 Billion to India, this cannot continue.
