India will eventually give in and become subordinate to the American order. India has no other option if they want to survive even as a regional power.

Also, this is the best and only method of countering the growing 'Chinese threat'.

Indians love everything American anyway, so there won't be any public outcry whatsoever. In fact, I believe Indians will probably welcome the Americans with open arms.

What do you mean by India do not have any other option? If India was able to survive when it was economically and milatarily not so strong, in the past few decades even after the demise of USSR, then why can't India survive on hwe own when she is economically stronger than in the past and cultivated more allies than in the past?

And, is it the only way to counter the "Chinese Threat"? If India can hold on her own now, why not in the future? Please remember that it is not just China, but India is also growing stronger.

China also cannot match USA military's force. Does that means that China is afride of USA? I think same goes to India also.

I think our Indian Army Chief says something different.

If India was 4 inch by 4 inch country with tiny economy, this would be a cause for concern. In current scenario, only thing problematic for India is internal conflicts. There are no big enough outside threats. It would be impossible for US to use India like it has used other countries in past. There is not much to lose. Just make sure this is an even trade. And India is improving relationship with many countries around the world. March ahead!

Problem with this article is that it is written from Pakistani perspective. Pakistan has been American fiddle for quite a while and somehow there is this mistaken believe in Pakistan that India and Pakistan are basically the same. Whiles sentiments are nice, Pakistan and India are not equal nor do they have same outlook towards world. India has traditionally avoided taking sides on military issues and that's why even if we were friendly with USSR, we never had KGB agents running secret ops from New Delhi. That is not going to change. Besides political posturing, US cannot gain anything from India.
