Why Afghani are so obsessed with Punjab?

Either your Afghan friends are non Pushtoon Afghan? Tajikistan, Uzbek and other Persian speakers, or you making it up?
Ignorance all around...

Non-pushtun Afghans have the most hate for Pakistanis/Punjabis, especially Tajiks. The anti-Pakistan Northern Alliance was heavily dominated by Tajiks...

Afghans are decent folks once you get to know them and understand why they feel grudges towards Pakistan/Punjabis. The hatred and venom spewed towards Afghans on this forum is quite sickening and shows you all are not much better than those who you claim to despise.

Afghans can only be civilized as individuals. Afghans hate Pakistanis for refusing to give up their territory to Afghanistan.

Afghans interfered in Pakistan for over 20 years before the ISI with Z A Bhuttos approval. Despite living in our country by the millions, they hate us to the core and need to be kicked out.

Pakistanis are justified in their hatred of Afghans. A country that wrongfully claims our territory. A country that wishes death upon us.

in their dream history they were rich successfull country and some punjabi next door ruined their dream by making them fool to fight red army.

Read some history. Afghans raped and pillaged Punjabis for centuries. Sikh put an end to it when they marched all the way to Peshawar and liberated the Hindko speaking indigenous people. My wife's family is from peshawar and they still speak Hindko. They say we are the original people of this land. Before Islam they were Hindu and Buddhists.

Sikhs along with Punjabi Muslims joined British army in large numbers and defeated the Afghan hordes. The land which Afghans claim has never been there's to begin with. Just ask any native Hindko historian from KPK. They are the real natives. Afghans are recent bandits and looters. They only understand the language of violence. Their hatred for Punjabis will never stop. They want our fertile land and our great cities. They have nothing. Even Peshawar was originally Hindko land.

They also want access to the Arabian sea, hence their claims over Balochistan.

They think they are superior (pata nahin kis cheez mien) in the south Asia and consider themselves above not just Punjabis but also Indians

Culturally Punjab is the largest bordering influence on them and will remain so for the foreseeable future. It’s not illogical for them to think about their neighbors.

Prior to the Soviet war, and the defacto free flow of people from Afghanistan to Pakistan, I suspect the memories of dealing with Punjab was the 100s of years of British/Sikh wars, from the direction of the Punjab.

Ever since the outside world has entered their cultural space, they have been trying to adapt in hopes of returning to what they had prior.

The current afghan rulers are the closest to what it was in Afghanistan before the British/Sikh wars.

Punjab has been prized sought after fertile land for centuries. It's Been home to civilisations in our region since the very beginning.

The goat humpers have always wanted to have what Punjab has.
Is it possible some Pashtuns (eastern Pashtuns) are in part the descendants of the Indus Valley civilization that fled to the mountains when the environmental shift let too many abandoning the cities during the collapse around 1800-1200 BCE?

Afghanistan was a beautiful first world country with unlimited oil and gas, with a thriving industrial factories, afghans were prosperous driving around in rolls royces, while punjab ppl rode on donkeys and were dependent on food hand outs from afghans plus no electricity or running water while afghans drank out of bottles. then one day soviets asked afghans for trade route but the punjabi heard the conversion and whispered into afghans ear they are kafirs fight him with your ak 47. this ended afghans prosperity and a thriving country and punjabi got rich off him. its all pak i punjabis fault the afghans say.

Historical reasons, Punjabis (Sikhs) and Afghans (Pashtuns) have been enemies for centuries with most of the bloody fights happening between the two groups. Even today I see my Sikh friends mocking Afghan Pathans calling them Bachabaz and Afghans continue to believe that Indians are trolling Pakistani pathans and Afghan Pathans continue calling Pakistani Punjabis as Dalkhor since Hindu and Sikh Punjabis whom they used to fight were and are majority vegetarian confusing them for Indians.

Yep 👍 a backwards, retarded people

Afghans aren't unhappy because Afghanistan is destroyed, they are unhappy that in their minds Pakistani should be suffering instead of afghans

Afghani genuinely don't care how much times they attacked Pakistan or all the terrorism, they only care that Pakistan fought back and they got screwed

History.. many wars, and at one time Durrani empire ruled over Punjab and then another time the Sikh empire ruled over Afghan lands. In early days of the British even Punjab was considered North West Province, and wasn't directly ruled. Was only until the British felt a threat they fought, and again took over Punjab because of betrayal of local Punjabi rulers.
