Why a Third of China’s Pigs Are Dying - Chinas pork crisis

. . .
China has huge pork demand. I think the chinese are the largest consumers of Pork

. .
Sooner or later, if not already done, Chinese researches will develop their own animal which tastes just like the pig they like to eat and follows a horrifyingly efficient industrial process to serve meat resembling pork at the lowest yuan/kg without most of the risks that can reduce yield.

. . .
Even the thought of pork is disgusting for most Muslims :bad::bad::bad::bad::bad::bad::bad:

HOWEVER, Muslim world really needs to pray for China's pork industry. Here's why

China's pork industry fulfills meat demand for BILLIONS of Chinese, Americans, and Europeans. It is absolutely critical for that. In doing so, it allows Muslim World to consume Goat, Sheep, Lamb, Cows/Buffalos, and Chicken meat in abundant quantities at decent price. They supply chain works very well for all---whether ~2 billion Muslims of the world or similarly large Europeans+Americans+Chinese.

In absence of Chinese pork, guess what will Chinese and others turn to to make up for their lost appetite of pork? Yes, other types of meats (Lambs, Sheeps, Goats, Beef, Chicken etc)---and this will create huge uptick in the demand of these meats, hence putting pressures on the supply and increasing the prices.

Muslim World's global halal food/meat industry will come under market pressures.

As Muslims increase in numbers worldwide, and slowly get ever more richer, they'll be consuming higher amounts of (halal) meats mentioned above. China's gigantic pork supply is crucial for Muslims to be able to do that at more affordable prices.

I bet ya'll didn't know about this connection, eh? :D One food consulting firm actually published a paper on this topic and hence I know :enjoy:

China is the leading seafood producer, consumer and exporter, but most Chinese seafood are from fish farms.

.
China's seafood producing and transportation system is so advanced, Xinjiang is the farthest place from any oceans on our planet, but people in Xinjiang can enjoy all kinds of free seafood, cause seafood produced in coastal regions can arrival in Xinjiaing in the same day, and more amazingly, the price are as some as the coastal regions or even cheaper!! Lucky Xinjiang folks, can even eat seafood 3 meals a day with very affordable price.
