The most qualified general based upon input from Raheel should be selected. Seniority should be the least important quality.

Interference in politics should be considered as well.

Ramday has close personal links with Nawaz. He's the strongest contender for the reasons we all are aware of. LOL i hadnt seen his pics on media so didn't know he went by the name Ramday, he was my University President and had all the sitting lounges closed for students because he had given contract to some one (it was rumored to be a relative) to create a sub standard cafe and just to compel students to visit that cafe they were barred from sitting at lounges.

I hope that this cafe thing isn't true..........

But cult of Army is already cheerleading him like one of the finest warrior on planet earth and his family relations with PM doesn't matter at all

General Raheel also was selected because his father was close friend of Nawaz Shareef father but that didn't well for Nawaz Shareef don't expect that.

In my humble opinion Gen Ramday and Gen Zubair both are not suitable for this appointment as they can't continue the legacy of Gen Raheel. Gen Ishfaq and Ge Bajwa both are competent enough. In my opinion Gen Ishfaq is top of the list.

Not insulting army mechanism. But I don't think he will be our next COAS. He is too strict and not popular enough in ranks and files to continue the legacy of Gen Raheel.

It will be either Lt Gen Hayat or Nadeem but my gut feeling is that It will be Lt Gen Ishfaq Nadeem as next chief. Lt gen Zubair Hayat may be the next CJSC though.
