What i observe during my stay at PDF whenever Muslims talks or post about religion Indian / Hindu members starts showing / posting as they are atheists or does't follow religion but when there is matter of beef eating or Muslims of Kashmir then they become die hard Hindus. Is't it a fine example of hypocrisy.

Just to give you an overview of what and why we think it is not a good idea to discuss religion.We made it a rule now to discuss religion because that almost always leads to troll posts and i have seen otherwise very mature and senior members falling for this trap. This is why an initiative was taken to stop people to start that debate as it will always lead to troll. It is just that. However if you observe, you will see that it is very rare that the actually/original post discussing religions are rated or deleted as long as they are not abusive to anyone else. Such work is usually appreciated in fact. It is the replies and argument that is the problem and as it is something that happens almost always so we do recommend not to start such a debate. It is just that otherwise it is not like the forum is an atheist one.

As for your observation, you are right we see it happen lots of time. To be true, people from our side also get involved in such flaming sometime but that is relatively rare because of the reason you mentioned (we cannot pretend to be atheists). The best way to deal with it to report the post and DO NOT QUOTE REPLY. When you reply such a post by quoting it you make the job of moderators difficult as then they have to deal with multiple posts (as the offensive stuff is now also present in form of quote in your post).

About hypocrisy, well, i do not need to say anything. You all know about that already.

Yes. Lots more to learn for you and to observe. This is an interesting place. When I was new all those my good friends (who are very good friend on PDF now) told me to refrain posting about religion. And i noticed some non Muslims always bring Islam in to any discussion. So then I can't stop myself to write them back. Very first two pieces I wrote and posted here were related to religion.

I dont think any religion is growing. Yes, number of people may be growing, general understanding amongst people is also increasing or decreasing, but religions are same old ones, nothing added

That may be true, but different people will interpret the texts differently. How can you ensure that people interpret it correctly?

You cannot do anything about it, people interpret even man made and written laws/rules differently. However, what you can do is bank on the fact that majority of the followers will seek the positive side and will not be fooled by personalized interpretations and selective excerpts of Holy books.

And where have you ever seen an ideal society throughout human's history, One should not forget that Humans ave animal instincts!, that is why there are laws and rules of conducts agreed upon by the populations, and they were derived from some sot of religion or wisdom..

Religion is in our genes (literally); it is a unique segment of human evolution was and still is very necessary for human survival.

Many of our technological and intellectual advancements were due to religion. Religion on the other hand has united people more than it has divided them. Religion is an integral part of humanity and is what clearly defines human morals.

Humans are the main reason why we have divisions amongst people and it is completely natural. We had to (and still do) compete for resources, land and power. We had to fight for survival even though it meant compromising the survival other people.

Atheists like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao - have caused about as much as deaths (in 50-60 year time period) than all the wars combined from human history.

Muslims and those who Allah loves will be trailed and tested; these tests can range from devastating disasters to smaller personal tests.

The Quran is not complicated at all. You read it and you learn from it; if you are confused on a specific verse, you check how the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) carried it out (also called Sunnah). That is what the Prophet (SAW) explicitly said. Terrorists get their information from radical mullahs who work for their own selfish needs and that is their fault.

We are not forced to call Allah 'leader'. Allah has simply said to find the truth and light; search for it.
