In terms of the recent diplomatic humiliation of Indian woman officer by USA, i think India shall reconsider its diplomatic policy and Please select the country that you want to make friends and have closer tie in the future.

The poll is for Indian members only please

If you make selection, please tell you reaon as well.

The recent diplomatic incident is not the reason I picked China.

I like Uruguay

Heck, South America

Reason? Because we face similar issues in terms of a multi-cultural country with poverty. Learning opportunities in this regard.

India still pick US over anyone because US still the number 1 in economy in this world.

No it really won't. Long-term NOTHING will change wrt Indo-US ties perhaps maybe certain American agencies will use their heads next time before engaging in such retarded actions against Indians.

Seems India decides to stay away from Russia.....

Not exactly, Usa will wither and wane on the long run, but we have to live with our neighbours.Just like you had hostility with mexico before but its A.ok, likewise will be Asian countries, honestly if USA didn't indulge in pushing and pulling strings in Asia, there would have been peace long time ago.

The poll is only for those Indian nationals, cause they will take the geographic factor into account.

Although India wanna get closer relationship with USA, don't forget Russia and ignore CHina at the same time.

Not at all. You seem to be under the impression India's relationships are mutually exclusive. Again and again India has proven itself able to keep hold of freinds whilst forging new relationships. For example India is one of the few nations on the planet to have good relations with both Israel and the M.East.

We want good relations with everyone,But major emphasis should be on BRICS and to make it big in the coming years and also there should be a common asian currency just like EU has Euro, to combat the global currency Dollar.
The sole reason Dollar still has value cos of petro dollars and Gulf countries using Dollar as currency for Oil and petrol purchases, if a common currency is used, the dependence on dollar will reduce, thereby reducing the power of dollar to manipulate World markets and some countries fortune, misfortunes or totally bankrupt it.

At some critical moment, you have to decide which side you gonna support. The diplomatic humiliation sure will dampen USA's positive image in India, and India will slow down its pace to get closer with USA. Even UK denied to go with USA to attack Syria this time. You've to run a balanced dilpomatic policy, especially when it comes to Russia/USA/China.

USA sided with Pakistan and now it starts to show interest in India. The previous is for containing Soviet and the later one for Containing China. India will have to take this as big chance to get some good stuffs from USA, but never forget how they treated you before. USA and CHina went on a honeymoon from the 1970s, but when Soviet Union collpase we finally found we got cheated. Now we will never allow this kind of mistake ever happens agian.

Right but It's not like India has to make these choices now. it can keep expanding ties across the board with all nations- and is. This is a blip on the path, in a few months it will all be forgotten. It's not huge, it's not a water shed moment, this isn't a Raymond Davis incident.

What kinda question is that !!!!
India has closer ties with all the Nations. Its always the other party choose to have differences.
1. Russia - decades old relations and now are losing business. Instead of imporving they choose to be unhappy ;)
2. China - increasing business and cooperation but they need to show their power everynow and then and spoil years of trust.
3. Pakistan  they live in the dream of defending their country from Indian attack which hasnt and wont come in future.
4. USA - a free nation with a lot of dumasses. They choose and use nations from history. So no nationa has a choice to be their friend. Just interests.
