Salaam and good morning.............. today is Jummah tul Mubarik, T20 Cricket match, the month of Milad-un-nabi, my last day on forex and then i will have rest for two days, hopefully going to cinema tonight or tomorrow

please help me with this.. i understand jummah and i understand mubarik and the prayers of friday but when you say jummah tul mubarik is it some specific festive or normal fridays are called so...

Jumma tul Mubarik means The blessed friday

and its a normal friday not any festival

Maybe I'll get married next year. Too much at stake here. She being a Muslim has added to my woes.

And no wonder, we have this relationship going on for 15+ years, she asked me today 'Do I need to convert?'

and its a normal friday not any festival

hey what is so important about fridays in Islam like here in India all the markets with muslims in marjority are closed as are markets on tuesday for hindus. hindus generally fast on tuesdays...

well so many good things happened on friday for example according to one of the hadeeth (sayings of our prophet) Prophet Adam (PBUH) - first man on earth was born on friday, later on many other good things happened on friday and also Prophet Adam (Peace be upon him) died on friday.............. there are some benefits mentioned in several Ahadees for this day for example in one of the Ahadeth The last Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) said there is one moment on friday when you ask anything from Allah he will accept it as it is. "Friday ko 1 baar qabooliyat ki ghari aati hai"

there is a short story mentioned in Surah Jummah in the Holy Qur'an where Prophet Muhamad S.A.W was giving speech/sermon on Friday prayer and few of the Sahabas saw something being sold on the street so they left Prophet Muhammad S.A.W there and went to buy that........ so then Allah Subhanwata'Allah revealed following verses in the Holy Qur'an

O Believers, when the Call to the Prayer of the Day of Congregation is made, hasten to the remembrance of God and leave trafficking; that is better for you, if you knew.(9)

Then, when the Prayer is finished, disperse in the land, and seek God's bounty, and remember God much that you may prosper.(10)

But when they see some merchandise or diversion, they scatter off to it and leave thee standing. Say, `that which is with God is better than diversion and merchandise; and God is the best of providers.'(11)

so are there any special prayers on fridays... because my friends in muslims some of them who are quite atheists also dont leave the namaz of friday... so are there special prayers or are the regular ones....
