Is the display tech the same OLED tech from that transparent TV ? And how large will the visuals appear to the user ? And is the one-way-mirror tech used to ensure that someone in front of the glasses wearer doesn't get to see the visuals ?

I like the LIDAR method of getting user input. The imagery from these glasses is not being projected onto other surface for the gestures to be accepted.

Do you know how large is the battery and where do you think it will be placed in the glasses ?

Hologram is an objective virtual reality whereas a 3d film is a 2d objective and 3d subjective virtual reality AR is augmented reality plus more so let's see what happens in the future will AR make the other two redundant needs to be seen the question is will I be able to watch a 3d interactive movie with my wife while I am in Dubai and she is back home in Peshawar using network based services and AR. Lutf kee baat tu yeh hay Kay the hurdles in the way of this technology are not just technological but also legal, social and economic I hope you understand what I am contemplating. I am sure in future AR and VR will be indistinguishable
I don't think in the next 15 to 20 years people will buy two different pairs of glasses for AR and VR and remember we are in the steam age of AR and VR as we were in the steam age of multimedia on internet in say 2000 2001 so

I have thought about the usability of rollable screens in computers. There have been a few prototypes and I have posted two below the two points below this text and I have been enthusiastic about this tech. Though they look good I have realized two things :

1. They cannot be used in outdoors environment where there is dust, water, fog, oil in air ( in industrial settings ) etc. These external elements will get into the space from where the screen is being pulled out and enter the circuitry.

2. It will be inconvenient to write something into an application using a cell phone style virtual keypad or a handwriting-recognition / free-drawing system using a pen, because the rollable screen has to be held in pulled-out mode using both hands. This contrasts using a cell phone where both hands can type while holding the phone or in a tablet where one hand holds the tablet and the other can use the pen.

I think it is better to design a computer of the form-factor of slightly more than a cell phone but provides not a rollable but a foldable screen. Like in this device from BOE.

Sorry for late reply was out of country enjoying some needed vacations, and then spend time in restoring a 50's era Turntable, and restoration of my first audio system as a child (Sanyo DXT 5402) turned out to be still functional except for tons of dust, it has a BSR Turntable which needed cleaning, overhaul and now it is purring like a kitten.

Then Transformed a Denon PMA-880R amp to a custom one by replacing all the crappy 4558 with OPA627 now its a beast.

Now to your question I think foldable display will become a reality sooner than later. I did read one article about BOE bringing in one such tech, but lets see.

Used to have one SONY such glasses some time ago where I needed to put a video in signal and I could see a display of 50 inches while using the glasses. What I see in this is like @Hamartia Antidote mentioned a google type devise in eyeglasses frame, automatically adjusting itself zoom in/out so that there will be no need for eye glasses, zoom in distant object, smart glasses with capability of video call, phone call, internet browsing, youtube, netflix, whatsapp (the usual crap) now I am moving into science fiction but that's going to happen in the next few years.

I think foldable display has gone before it arrived properly. Rollable display will be used in public advertisement boards.

Are you talking about the Google Glass device which I think projects the imagery directly into the eye ? Though this device does that only for one eye.

And zoom-in of distant object or close object ( like text ) is a good idea indeed for people like me who cannot read fine text. But this will require a camera which the Apple Glasses doesn't have ( for privacy reasons ). But the zoom-in function can be separated from the record function via the record function indicating with a light on the frame that the recording is on. This can allay any privacy concerns by notifying others that recording is on and they tell this to the wearer and ask him to stop.

Also, Apple Glasses basically will become interface for general purpose computing when the now-paired iPhone will become just a computing and communication device.
