let me try to make it simple as i can for you.

say there is a battle between Hindu and Muslim armies and mid-battle some change sides and become Hindu? they will be executed at the end of or during the battle.

say it's not wartime and there is an inconsequential Moslem let's call him haqqani or altaf or fateh and changes sides, he will be allowed to consume as much gau mutra as he likes as long as you do not take him back and make him your leader again​

Battlefields have never executed people on the basis of religion. Your topic was OK for discussion sake but it wasn't practical. I have heard such opinion from some scholars but it is never practised in Islamic environment. People leave or accept Islam all the time but they are hardly ever killed because of their previous faith. Although I do know 1400 years ago people used to get leniency if they changed religion to Islam after their enemy lost the war but it is not true in modern warfare.

In modern battle you have enemies and allies and a lot of time you have enemies sharing your religion and allies from other religion but nobody has time to ask individual what their religion was before they came to fight us. They are only held accountable for the action they are taking in the battlefield
