Gjörðu svo vel, gerðu það, or takk... they're all interchangeable for the word "please." Takk also means "thank you"

For the record, Google Translate is garbage at Icelandic.

Well I stayed around Oslo and the people were so helpful that I still praise them for every given opportunity.

Did you see any signs or ads in English too, while we're on the topic of languages. It's strange that a large percentage of street signs and TV shows and ads are in English for what is non-native English speaking nation.
