errrrrr yeah great idea that was the plan. hillary the nutter wanted to go to war but were having to bump up on spendings as trump is gonna be stingy and not give mooney to nato.(greedy b@stard). so mid 2017 i think our defence dudget is gonna be bumped up, and sarcozy would do the same for the frenchies too.

Well there is the whole NATO thing and Trump's unexplained/undeveloped policies towards it. He's said it should be disbanded and that it should be revamped, and I agree with the later, but he doesn't have a clear, stated policy towards it. And some of us, Norway and the UK in particular, would rather not be part of Europe.

So there's a palpable sense of anxiety. On the plus side, if Trump decides to increase defense spending or Maker forbid go to war, my pocket book is looking to be in good shape, as working for a defense contractor my job depends largely on such instances.

Building a wall to keep Americans out? Nah, but there's anxiety among European countries like the UK, Norway, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and, well, everyone regarding his policies towards European defense, which he hasn't yet stated in clear terms. So yeah, I expect European nations will increase their defense spending to make up for the gap in real-term commitment from the Americans. So long as there's uncertainty over Trump's policy towards the continent, the continent will decide it must do more to solve problems on its own.

I hope he threatens to get US troops and equipments back home and leave us alone,that's the only way stupid europeans will increase spendings and army strenghts. I agree with him that europeans should do more and don't wait and seek the US umbrella.

A part from the UK,Estonia,Poland and Greece,who spends the minimum 2% or is near to it ?

Romania will be spending 2% starting next year,a fact our President clearly underlined in his congratulatory message to Trump.Anyway,been watching some voices here and there and I strongly believe that EU countries will raise defence spending but NOT to please the US but to create a cohesive EU defence.Germany and France will use this excuse (we can t rely on a fickle overseas ally) to rally the EU.I strongly believe it will happen.....and yeah,we still need to deport lots of people to ))

The idea of an EU cohesive defence or army.... a part from France and Germany,who's really for it ? There's somewhat an hostility to this.
And seriously,I wouldn't believe Germany to take the lead and have a more aggressive military approach.... Ok I see them wanting to be involved... but not too much.

As for deporting people,yes we need to deport a lot,varying from the foreign radicals to the illegal aliens.

The biggest positive is now there will not be a major US confrontation with Russia over Syria....which could have escalated into something quite nasty.

ISIS also going to get wiped out as a result. Saudi donations to both ISIS and Hillary Clinton is not something Trump will forget, nor will he downplay in targetting both of them simultaneously.

Hope you have a large stock of popcorn for rest of this year and especially next year.

If the concern is the increase in pollution then I wish you the best in convincing developing economies to halt their industrialization because it's polluting the air.
