What will be the consequences for a standard people if God forbid that Fatf blacklist Pakistan.

1) What will be the impact on Pakistan rupee

2) What will be the impact on export and import

3) Will IMF and other loan agency stop giving loan to Pakistan?

4) No investment?

5) Why FATF did not impact Pakistan like it will do now as media and international media is reporting?

With China leading FAFT , there's no chance of Pakistan getting blacklisted. And u need only 3 votes to avoid it and u have those 3 votes - China , Turkey , Malaysia

After checking out the internet, I've found out the following root consequences:

1. Economic sanctions from international institutions (IMF, World Bank, ADB etc.) and countries

2. Problems in getting loans from international institutions (IMF, World Bank, ADB etc)

3. Overall reduction in international trade

4. International boycott

Source sounds Indian though.

1) The price of dollar will skyrocket. 200 or 250 rupee per dollar. This will make imports even more expensive (oil, gas, etc). Which in turn will increase cost of transportation.

2) It will make our export costly, very costly. Countries that are importing from us might switch to others sources to import goods. Again because of transaction cost.

3) They will be very reluctant to give any loan at all. And if they did (they won't) the interest rate will be extremely high ( 15 to 20%)

4) Since inflation will skyrocket, cost to invest in Pakistan will go up. Because of that, investors will not invest in Pakistan. So all development projects will come to a halt or slow down extremely

5) It hasn't affected us differently compared to 2008. Before media didn't highlight it as much (in 2008 to 2015). This time around they are highlighting even the smallest thing. Most of our media is in our enemies pockets. Also remember, in 2008 we came from a good economy time. This time around we put on the grey list, when our economy has been destroyed by terrorist (Ishaq Dar)

However, the chances of us going on blacklist are very low. We have to votes to stay off of it.

Pakistan was on FATF blacklist in 2008 and 2012 and in grey list in 2010 and 2014. There might be some problems in getting loans maybe.
But the China's investment in CPEC would keep coming. Special economic zones being developed under CPEC would still be happening. So I don't understand why some POS organization called FATF is given such f***ing importance?

The remittances coming from all over the world will stop.
Sanctions will be imposed.

financial burden in term of cost, risk and scrutiny on the state will be increased which would indirectly effect to a common man on the street in terms inflation or may be hyper inflation ....

And what steps should the Pakistani government and the Generals take to ever avoid being black listed? Why does the Pakistani leadership continue to lie to its people? Tell us why are we being threatened by FATF so that we stop being labelled along countries such as Iran and North Korea?

Pakistan was on grey list only. Never on blacklist

Bin laden was found living in our country quite comfortably. Why are Pakistanis burning their own country for some desert Bedouins? Even Saudis who were clearly involved in 9/11 quickly abandoned Bin Laden yet our ummah bromance with Arabs resulted in huge embarrassment in the world stage.

What is your solution? Should we proclaim the Kalifa from Gurdaspur?
