We dig into 50 years of data of the State Bank to find out how the exchange rates corelate to the changes in the dollar reserves over time and the role of IMF loans in driving these rates. Can you figure out how these variables relate? Hint: pay attention to the last two years or the most recent period of volatility.

Not sure about the rate when i was born- But my first overseas visit was in fact to USA in April-1980- Visiting Boston !! and i remember it was around 7.80 rupee to one dollar i think ?

I was born in1943 and no one I know remembers the exchange rate then. When first I came to the UK in Sept 1962 one USD was equal to 4.76 Pk Rupees.
