Yeah kuch ziyda hai:rolleyes:
Who said Yeh ziada hai?
This is the reality. South Punjab Sindh Balochistan and most parts of kpk had no nationality. They were all princery states. Even in India there were many princery states which were at first in war with mughals and afterwards in revolt against British. Some were never conquered by both mughals and British.

Exactly. It's like a captive bird and be proud of cage.
If you are religious you can trace it all back to Adam.

If you are scientific then get a dna test done and the history will come out.
Mine has Turkic, Indo-European,Indo Aryan and semetic(Arabia) in the mix along with some oddly misplaced Eastern european in there.

I am also sure my ancestors were roaming different continents in different phases of time.

So people before 1947 what was the nationality of your family. Note nationality and NOT your ethnic, religious, tribe, clan etc group. This is only for people from South Asia. Vote and then give explaination.
Since we conquered Dibhal / Sindh, we were / are Pakistanis.

Didn’t knew this before !!! Could you shed more light in the whatever thread on this ?

Unfortunately we don't seem to have any Yemeni users here. I hope we do in the future. Out of all Arabs, they are the ones who have kept their culture intact the closest to the original. Their dialect is also pretty much fus7a (quranic) Arabic, very authentic and pure compared to the colloquial dialects of Levantines, Egyptians, and others.

We had ancient ties to Yemen, Oman, and East Africa (Somalia) stretching back centuries, even before Islam. You will find many of them wear clothes similar to use, eat similar cuisine, and even wear the same kind of headdresses and turbans our ancestors used to wear.

Some of my best friends from university were Yemenis, they used to come to my home regularly to cook, study, and we would make tea/coffee. Like us they also have very strict social mores. This is why most of them had left their wives to raise their kids in Yemen, while they worked half the year in the West and spent the other half in their villages.

Unfortunately due to KSA's war, Yemen was destroyed and many had to seek shelter in Djibouti (East Africa) slowly making their way to the West with their families.

Subjects of the Sikh Empire of Ranjit Singh.

Toba. But there was also the Durrani empire :smitten:, in which case were known to the world as Afghans.

Much to the chagrin of the descendants of Hind.

Would Kashmiri's have been a part of British India? Technically it was ruled by their lapdog Dogra. Before then it would have been the empire of Ranjit Singh, before him the Durrani Empire.... I think we migrated to Kashmir from Punjab during that time. We have records going back about 12-15 generations i think, but not before then.
