So I was watching this video about isis targeting opposite factions with little /R. C drones - - - - - - - . So, to cut the story short, what kinda munitions they are using? Is it somewhat guided - - - - - - - or comes into a free fall/dumb category? The title is misleading though.

Can be GPS guided, but if the coordinates are input and the target moves, then it can miss.

Just like JDAM makes a dumb bomb into a guided delivered weapon.

In Pakistan people were making it with simplest things(I will not into details).
As far as the "Hacked drones" are concerned, I don't believe in this propaganda. If these terrorists are getting it, they are getting it directly. Some people are behind these people, and others want to earn money and sale their goods. This is simple.

How'd isis know who is deployed in which street and when that area is being guarded by the other militant group?

Read some where that the russians have designed and deployed some system for precision strikes. This way the bomber drops free fall munition only upon getting a signal. So no jdam type kit is needed for that purpose .

I don't know the very details of such systems, other members may be more knowing on this subject. But as an engineer, what I know is, every engineering solution is based upon a simple idea. That's why some things made by China still work, but we call them China-mal(Only precision makes it Made it Germany ). So, may be yes, its possible, as far as the basic Physics, Chemistry and Maths of this solution are properly implemented.
