What is your thoughts of Iraq how do you see Iraq

. . . .
Iraq was one of the few countries in the Middle East with which India established diplomatic relations at the embassy level immediately after its independence in 1947.[12] Both nations signed the "Treaty of Perpetual Peace and Friendship" in 1952 and an agreement of co-operation on cultural affairs in 1954.[12] India was amongst the first to recognise the Baath Party-led government, and Iraq remained neutral during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. However, Iraq sided alongside other Gulf States in supporting Pakistan against India during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, which saw the creation of Bangladesh.[12] Nonetheless, Iraq and India continued to maintain strong economic and military ties. During the early 1980s, the Indian Air Force was training more than 120 Iraqi MiG-21 pilots.[13] The security relationship was expanded in 1975, when the Indian Army sent training teams and the Indian Navy established a naval academy in Basra. India continued to provide considerable military assistance to Iraq through the Iran–Iraq war. In addition to training, India provided technical assistance to the Iraqi Air Force through a complicated tripartite arrangement involving France.[14]

So you can see that India and Indians have a very positive view on Iraq and Iraqis.

This thread to every one to tell his thoughts or feeling when he or she hear or see news about Iraq

Thanks.

It is an uncertain feeling. Iraq has always been mysterious to me - despite having read and watched so much about it. I often feel sorry for the Iraqis for the constant political disasters they have been facing after 14 July 1958 (the fall of the monarchy). I sometimes feel that the Iraqi personality is quite tough, ruthless, and belligerent that it is the root cause for what is happening to Iraq. I sometimes relate to Iraqis and find lots of similar things between them and us (especially southern Iraqis). In other times, I find them way too different than us.

However, without sugar coating, the dominance of Shia after 2003 is definitely a turning point in Iraqi history. It seems to me that Sunni Arabs will forever view Iraq differently than the historical view they held ever since the 1st Islamic century. ولكن الأكيد إني أحب وأقدر كل بنات العراق من أم قصر حتى جبل سنجار

I love Iraq for few reasons and on the whole my perception towards Iraq is that they are too revolutionary but don't take thing to the end. I like the current political climate in Iraq and I want Iraq to return to it past glory when it was considered one of the most powerful Muslim nation.

Well I'm a history buff so my first thoughts when I hear the term Iraq (other than the Iraqis I know in real life) are historical places, dynasties or people like Abbasid's, Bayt aL Hikma, Babylonians etc.

Iraq needs to assert itself and invest in its people. Having worked recently in Iraq down near Rumeila what I saw was a country in transition. Hopefully the Iraqi government implements good policies and empowers its people.

I prefere Iraqi Shia over any other Arab Shia group in the Middle East. People who know them will agree with me. In general, however, I'm very angry at Iraq. The Iraqis are a disappointment to me.

1. Nobody knows what will happen in Iraq's future and i am not overly optimistic
2.Iran will never allow Iraq have enough power to instigate trouble against Iran
3. Moqtada Al-Sadr said initially he wouldnt work with the Americans or Iranians or the Iraqis who were Iran's friends. Now he is forming govt with the last group.
4. I'm not sure Iraq will have strong pride as a nation for a while.
5.Its naive and foolish for Iraqi sunnis to think there was no cost to be paid for Saddam's abuses and connection to them.
6. If Iraqi govt doesnt "bond" the country solidly together soon, Iraq will probably split.
7.No one can get Iran out of Iraq.
8. Iraq is blessed and CAN heal back.
