What is the benefit of DMS shoes ?

Can anyone share the advantages of DMS shoes ?

DMS (double moulded shoes) are:

1. Little bit heavier
2. Hot to wear in summer or hard weather which can exhaust a soldier.

So what is the benefit of wearing these shoes because military gears are supposed to be light.

I swear by DMS boots bro. They are a bit difficult to break in and yes they are heavy, but once you break in a pair, they become like your second skin. I swear, I have two pairs of DMS's, and the older one I have had them since my 8th std and it is still going strong (I am in second year of college now). I can actually wear it without socks even now, though I prefer the heavy thick woolen army issue OG socks. Amazing support and protection to the foot and ankle. Indestructible sole which is also great as a blunt force weapon in street fights. So is the hard reinforced toe (I once had a car go over my foot in traffic while wearing them - besides huge pressure, I was none the worse and walked away from that). The sole is electrical and fire and chemical resistant. It is also penetration resistant, and has a hard inner base that offer further protection. Best boots for trekking (rocks, and especially in areas where there is a lot of undergrowth and chance of scorpions and snakes), as well as riding your bike. And the leather is 2+ mm thick buffalo hide. Tell me which other branded boot, like Woodlands etc., will give you a fraction of this at 500 bucks? I love my DMS.

these shoes do become light when you wear them often-
its like your feet adjusting to the weight- few days- few miles- and they are not heavy any more-

and its Direct Molded Shoes- not double-

Army guys can share the tricks of breaking in a brand new pair of DMS boots. It includes soaking in bucket of warm water. Wearing them non-stop (including to bed), with double layer of socks, and band-aids over top of foot arch and back tendon of heel. And applying huge gobs of Cherry Blossom and letting it soak into the leather overnight. Then more gobs of Cherry Blossom, hold and move the boot over a candle flame to make the wax melt and glaze, and then polish the boot with copious amounts of saliva thrown in.

Benefits of DMS (Double Moulded Sole) boots

• DMS boots protect ankles from the risk of getting cramp/twist during intense physical activity. Joggers or low-height boots may not be able to give this protection.

• DMS boots wont come off in intense physical activity. Joggers or low-height boots can come off.

• DMS boots protect the lower parts of the leg from muddy dirt or dangerous insect bite. Joggers or low-height boots may not be able to give this benefit.
