What is leading Indian army's rethink of its typically inelastic position on Siachin?

It's a deceitful act on India's part. Because of the Chinese advances in their occupied areas, India wants Pakistan to withdraw from
its positions so that they can take the whole Siachen in the mid of the night and checkmate china from this side.

Pakistan MUSt NEVER back down. The whole of Siachen belongs to us and India must withdraw unconditionally from all occupied areas.

Pakistan would not accept this proposition. What is interesting is that out of nowhere Indian army has changed its fixed position on this matter on which it was even willing to go against various governments of the day. We should analyze why there is a change and why NOW.

They know that because of Chinese actions in that area, soon they will have to vacate Siachen, so they want to strike a deal thinking Pakistani's are blind losers. We will just take possession when the time is right and declare it a victory.

India will not change its position on Siachen at this point. It has no incentive to do so. Even if Pakistan should accept the LOC as IB in that area, I do not think that Siachen will be demilitarized at the Indian side.

Anything that you occupy is important

Chamb is important
Turtuk is important
Hajipir is important
Point 5353 is important
Siachen is also important

However what I am saying is the notion that India can use Siachen to threaten KKH or even much closer Skardu

That is not true

Only thing Indians can do at Siachen is sit and keep sitting

Same for Pakistan who can just continue with status quo since large scale offence from their current positions is not possible for both sides

There should be ZERO trust with India. The time to talk and move forward is gone. Everything India does is to change the status quo for its interests. Then asks for a pause. Then does the same again. They have been on this slow slow boil cycle for 70 years. And we are the idiots who think there can be a rapprochement. India has been locked in a zero sum game from day one. Some govs in India better than the other, but both are opposed to Pakistan and its existence. Because if the Pakistani experiment is successful India will rip apart in smaller countries.
