What if there would be no US or UN?

As I restrict myself to discussion regarding India mainly, I also read the discussion regarding other countries. I find a lot of countries are hostile to US and its Policy. I also understand it. But I just wonder and wanted to know and discuss among the members of countries about what the world would have been a better place or worst place if there would be no US or UN (thorough which US have its way)?

World war 2 would have ended differently, which probably means Germans and Japanese would have ruled.

If there is no US, there will be Russia or any other country who gain power. They will do the same. I don't think the world will become a better place ever as we all know that fighting is in our nature.

But in many discussions, I find Russians, Chinese, Pakistanis, Iranians on one side and Turkish, Americans, even french are on the other side. More than 50% members criticize US!! So my second question would be "If world would be better place if US does not interfere in other countries affairs?"

The world would be a much better place. The natural order of life on Earth until the past few thousand years, has been extremely small scale communities with a localized, environment-based economy. That's why despite their faults, I consider freedom fighters during independence true visionaries for their rejection of feudalism and advocating a return to self sufficient, village-based panchayat raj that existed before Islam invaded India. Too bad Nehru rejected it and followed the path of extreme inequality, a.k.a crony capitalism.

These giant tentacles of supranationalism will be cut one day to restore the balance of earth. Just hope it occurs without bloody revolutions or a nuclear winter.

I can only assume total financial chaos for a long while.

Well, personally I can only think of tomorrow. See, Russia will gobble up all the previous USSR in quick succession. China will do whatever now is threatening to do. There will be total chaos in middle east with each county at each others throat. Europe as whole will be turned into a fortress.There will be financial chaos as you said. This is the little I can expect (I am no expert, just gathered my knowledge after being here)
