Hey guys. I was thinking. What if those three powerhouses were united and allied? Aside from the US getting kicked off the lands of Korea and Japan, what could be the combined naval and economic power of the three? Could it rival the West on it's own? Could if influence world events on it's own? Like in Africa and the Middle East? We all know they're all highly innovative, hard working and very advanced. 1.6 billion advanced people is nothing to sneeze at.

I guess a racist paraphrase of the question would be: What if the yellow race united?

PS: I don't need any 'not going to happen' etc replies. Just wondering what the potential would be. Because

Well, history didn't start 100 years ago. And let me tell you, the West will want/need to ally itself with Russia unless it wants to be cornered into the Western hemisphere. At the end, Russia is a European dominated country. So they're natural allies with the West. What happens if China's borders are western dominated? You still think they'll remain enemies with Japan? BTW, Korea and China are moving closer and closer to each other. So in one respect, it's already happening.

See maybe not strategical but Economically each country is closer to each other, you take it US, China or China, India or China, Japan every country has huge economical ties. At the end only the economic ties matter, because money wins

Thats like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh allied. Hell would freeze over before this happens. Too many egos at work.

Well. In the end, a shared language (mostly), shared heritage, and large economic ties might make a lot of things possible. For example: India might see Pakistan as it's 'backyard'. You either dominate it or placate it. Either way, you want to influence it. Don't for a second think India is okay with these hostilities. There comes a day that they have to be solved. Pakistan already ruled out the domination option (nukes etc), so there is only one remaining solution.

It is already happening between china and Korea, we already had south korea's heart, but unfortunately her beautiful body is still owned by uncle sam.
Japan is just having trouble to accept that fact that china is getting so strong, they wrongly believed that the reason why they successfully invaded china in WWII is because Japanese civilisation is superior to Chinese civilisation, or because Japanese people is superior to Chinese people, but the real reason is just an industrialised Japan is superior to an agricultural China. As China keep industrialising at this speed and scale, the Japanese are questioning their superiority complex. Maybe a decade later, when they tried, tired and still unable to stop china's rise, they will have to do a strategy reassessment.

I think they're long ready to adjust their policies, it's just that uncle sam doesn't allow them. Japanese aren't stupid. They know what's what. They know China is going to be bigger and more powerful than they'll ever be (already is). They don't want hostilities to linger on needlessly, and they want to increase economic ties. It's only a matter of time.

U.S will stop that, coz a bad news for them. China is OKay ... but U.S.A already stationed in Japan and South Korea.

China in the long run will become a big version of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. Imagine a Singapore with 1.3 billion people. That's what China actually is. It'll happen by mid-century. Once that happens, whether or not China is allied with a peninsula and an archipelago is irrelevant.

In a century or so.

In the history Japan never did anything good to China or Korea. Koreans were mostly dependent on China.None of these two countries would or will do something good to China in the future...forget the topic!
