Rmi5 I am a old man. About to celebrate my 52 this month. I have been around the block. You probably were not even born when the Iranian Revolution happened. I told you my best friend Morteza Kashani from a town called Kashan fro my school days. When the revolution happened we wewre in Six form. His brother wanted to go back to bury his mother but he dare not because of the Iran Iraq war and he was worried he might get drafted.

Trust me son. I am not ignorent.

This attitude has also lot to do with Shah's long rule, he basically brainwashed the Iranians that they are basically Europeans not Middle Easterns, I have also come across few of them here in Toronto, They are more liberal and westernized than Canadian Whites.
Do they look white or Arab?

. . .
The comparison is between Iran and pakistan(a muslim nation), hence you can make sense of @Abii 's comment. Of course, budhists story in China is totally different.
When compared to Pakistanis/Arabs/Malaysians etc. Iranians are a lot less religious but Abii said that they are more secular than Indians, Chinese etc which I doubt, especially about Chinese. Indians/Hindus could be religious but Buddhists/East Asians etc. are not.

Now Turks? They have my respect? Simple reason only people who butt kicked the Europeans .....

. .
and anyway frankly does it matter if they are anybody is religious ?

Samv ... Good you can follow me and be my unpaid 'spell checker'

I guess you mean that "does it matter if anybody is religious(in Pakistanis and Arabs extent)?"
Yes, of course it does. Being religious in that amount equals to being a bigot, and trying to force your opinions on others. Of course, no other person will accept it. It's completely socially awkward.

You Pakistani here hold your chin up. Don't let this oil slurpers undermine you. Work hard and build a nation. This talk of baby nation? what a joke. Before Iranian's learn't to put on trousers the land that is Pakistan was home Harrapa civilization. Rehman Dheri is probably 9,000 years old so Pakistani's never overlook this. We along with Mesopotamian's and Egyptian gave all the rest civilization.

Did we not agree to not use derogatory comments?

OK, now I get what you mean. Yeah, you are right. Iranians are less religious than hindus, but about East Asian Buddhists, I don't have any ideas. Honestly, their countries are too far located that we can know much about them and their culture.

Iran is our neighbor and a lot of Iranis came to Pakistan to study.

When Islamic revolution occurred in Iran, a lot of Irani students chose to stay in Pakistan. Not just that. Many Iranis crossed the border to Pakistan after revolution and in Iran Iraq war.

My two professors were Irani. I have done all my education in Pakistan.

Rmi5 I am only religious to the extant that I was born a in a Muslim family. Other than that I judge not on religion. Religion can and mostly is a very dangerous thing. Have a look around you. if religion is kept to yourself fine but too many people impose it.

A belief if imposed is tyranny as our neighbour knows.

I can't even tell if you're trolling. You just generalised 4 billion people.

Definitely, I am not trolling. You can start a poll and ask non-religious people, or typical Europeans and Americans(not the religious ones) to tell you about their opinions regarding this subject. If they take off the mask of "being tolerant to others", and don't fear to be labeled as "racist", ... you will hear the exact same words that I said above.
Being religious in Pakistanis amount or Arabs amount, is not OK by people from the rest of the world and it is indeed socially and culturally awkward.
That's my honest opinion. @Abii am I wrong?

You see guy's we live in a world where everybody disparages others to feel good about themselves. The Iranian will act snobbish about the 'Oh so poor Pakistan taxi drivers' and the German's will look down on the swarthy Iranian's as 'carpet merchants' and goes on and on. The Pakistani Punjab feel better that they are lighter skinned then Bangali, The Iranian feel bigger because they are lighter than Pakistani. what they all forget is if skin colour is determinant of human nature than blonde Nordic people of Europe come out No.1 because they are the LIGHTEST skinned.

I can't even tell if you're trolling. You just generalised 4 billion people.

and calling another members comment 'idiotic' is .....?
