#1 Read below: The chinese researchers had predicted Bat COVs in early 2019 itself but the chinese government continued the wet market industry. From the paper published -

"During the past two decades, three zoonotic coronaviruses have been identified as the cause of large-scale disease outbreaks–Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), and Swine Acute Diarrhea Syndrome (SADS). SARS and MERS emerged in 2003 and 2012, respectively, and caused a worldwide pandemic that claimed thousands of human lives, while SADS struck the swine industry in 2017. They have common characteristics, such as they are all highly pathogenic to humans or livestock, their agents originated from bats, and two of them originated in China. Thus, it is highly likely that future SARS- or MERS-like coronavirus outbreaks will originate from bats, and there is an increased probability that this will occur in China. Therefore, the investigation of bat coronaviruses becomes an urgent issue for the detection of early warning signs, which in turn minimizes the impact of such future outbreaks in China. The purpose of the review is to summarize the current knowledge on viral diversity, reservoir hosts, and the geographical distributions of bat coronaviruses in China, and eventually we aim to predict virus hotspots and their cross-species transmission potential"

These people talk as if China should perform a nationwide lockdown every time it discover a new virus.

for the last time, China can't risk the whole economy by overreacting to a new virus which may have turned out to be "just a flu". No one knows anything at that time.

What China did wrong? Absolutely nothing. China puts China first and I'm proud of it.

This hasn't happened for the first time. Your government had prior lessons to learn from SARS outbreak, listening to your own intellectuals , doctors and researchers is also part of putting China first, as told in video China is a country with 21st century technology and 19th century politics.

Only the most incompetent and vile resorts to blaming others. It's not a trait of the wise ,the decent and the competent
Indians should stick their attention to its own backyard ,for India have neither the experience nor the aptitude of knowledge to comment on what china did right or wrong .
These so-called journalist reads a bunch of American and other propaganda pamphlets in the name of news without actual first hand knowledge and then reconstructs what they learned from others in a way that stimulates bigoted minds of Indian masses.

Chinese government knows about it.

That's why they did a massive lockdown of a huge metropolis in less than a month after the virus officially identified.

Bat COVs have been known in the healthcare world since decades ago.

It's just a matter of time before it's transmitted to a human.

What China should do now is implement super strict health regulations to prevent an outbreak from happening ever again and power forward their economy while the rest of the world is suffering economically.

Many evidence pointed out the patient zero of coronavirus actually do not come from China.

By the time China implemented a lockdown, the rest of the world knows whatever China knew too. But did anyone else took action? Sadly no.

Absolutely. China's wildlife trade, treatment of animals, food safety practices and sanitation standards of their wet markets are horrendous and a total nightmare. These need to be severely clamped down on and heavily regulated, brought to civilized standards.

Many evidence pointed out the patient zero of coronavirus actually do not come from China.

No conclusive proof of this. I've read about the rumors but they frankly offer no concrete proof. They are just rumors right now.

Even if Coronavirus didn't come from China, it's still safer to implement stricter health regulations.

But what about the European and United States? Today United States has become number 1 country with the most corona virus infected patients in the world. Shouldn't they implement stricter health regulation? they have at least 1 month time to protect their people. If a country with "stricter health regulation" like United States can have a massive patients like that, then what China did then was quite good already. Since China has more than 3 times people than USA, and "More lenient health regulation". But who know. Maybe US has already has infected people since autumn 2019.

Thank goodness that Chinese government finally ban it.

I wonder if this will be forever?

A lot of Chinese cuisines will be gone...

Did they REALLY ban it? I heard they only banned the trade of wildlife for food consumption but not for TCM or other uses. Also, they "banned" the eating of civets back during the SARS epidemic but a few months after, FILTHY Guangzhou markets were still selling them.

These Chinese peasants are just so filthy and ignorant. Instead of the Uyghurs, they need to be rounding up these filthy Chinese peasants and putting them into re-education camps so they can learn modern civilized sanitation habits.

Lol

TCM is medicine.

Why do you think many of modern medicine doesn't have exotic ingredients?

Many people are criticizing exotic ingredients in a drug.

But when they get sick and the doctor doesn't give them medicine because it has exotic ingredients inside...

They all are complaining in anger.

Because it's life has being risked here.

Many people can't see an elephant in front of their eyes, but able to see an ant across the river.

It's like criticizing a Mercedes Benz but praising a Tata.

But still, it doesn't mean a Mercedes Benz is uglier than a Tata.
