I think it would be easiest to simply read a few of my latest posts...

Sir I believe you have overreacted. Just because majority of Pakistanis here are anti-American does not mean they represent the majority of Pakistan. Let me give you two examples one being the recent Pakistani elections. If you go buy the posters here you would have concluded (as I did) that Imran Khans party was the favorite to win the whole thing as the majority of posters here support his views and party however that was not the case as he did not even get half the votes from Pakistanis (despite some allegations of voter manipulation). That shows that while the sentiments of some posters here may be swayed in one direction they do not reflect the ground mentality. Secondly you said Pakistanis never cared for America at all and I can tell you personally that while it may seem like that today it was not always the case. The last time I went to Pakistan every Pakistani I came across asked me about American education system and other queries about our way of life here and I never did quite understand why it was such a big deal until I actually spent a few months in Pakistan to see the difference. If there is anti-Americanism in Pakistan today it is due to foreign policy failures on the ground by both American government and Pakistani government which while encouraging drone strikes in private, stoke flames against America in public.

Anyway that is all I will say to this topic as it is already off topic for this thread.

but you are very old arn't you?

in your age you must be teaching manners not learning one

<sigh> You had to bring up my age, did you?

I would like to teach history, politics, the law, sociology, things like that, largely because some youngsters today seem to have very little idea where they are coming from on these subjects; the Internet is a dangerous place for naive intellects, and Wikipedia is an excellent quick reference but cannot substitute formal education or textbooks.

As for manners, one is never too old to learn, I think. Some on PDF have exquisite manners, even in the face of my provocations. My indian friend, @Bang Galore, for instance, even though our political views are gradually getting further and further apart, and even as his underlying sympathies become more and more evident.

There is also a lesson to be learnt in terms of gravitas; in front of a post from @muse or @niaz, one feels like a schoolboy in front of the Head, trying hard to remember why putting chewing gum in the hair of the girls seemed like such a witty idea at the time.

Nice- but not every indian is you--

Oh, I don't know about that. There are half a dozen Indians I can name without pausing a moment whom I would wish to emulate. You are being influenced unduly by the Hindutvavadi paid posters who come and go. It is their business to give you a bad feeling about India. And there are just 25 of them.
