Not again :hitwall::hitwall:

Why does PAF needs to replace its C-130s with double the size & capacity aircraft and you know well we are not at good terms with the Russians, they won't give.

Why post useless and unrealistic posts ??

C-130 needs to be replaced by an aircraft of its own caliber, not by one which is much much superior in specifications.

Would you replace a pickup truck with a semi trailer?
Considering your needs are met by a newer similar sized pickup truck?

Srilankan is correct to post this having such a plane we can move 5,000 soliders + or supplies quickly

C130 planes are dinasor planes we used them since 1965 ...

What will happen if we are at war , and we are short of supplies?

Will the troops be moved on buses from north to south pakistan ?

Transport planes are must ...

Yes I agree that Russians won't give us these but we need to upgrade our transport capabilities

1970 we lost becasue we did not had helicopters to transport units , enemy just had these so they went behind defensive lines

Pakistan & Ukraine are heavily cooperating in defence and science and technology. According to the Ukrainian Ambassodor to Pakistan, has stated that "Ukraine is one of the most technically developed country of Europe and ready to assist Pakistan in all fields including education, exploration of natural resources and providing technical assistance.

Ukraine already assist Pakistan in heavy technical industries Taxila and also in the production of arms for Pakistan Army.

Ukrainian Ambassodor also stated that "Both Pakistani and Ukrainian scientists are working together in the field of space technology to military technology". Pakistan is also assisting Ukraine in science and technology and helping Ukraine to established engineering universities in the country.

Its gonna be a joint venture from now, Ukraine and Russia will be jointly making it. Thus we may have problems, and already Ukraine is going to upgrade IAF An-32s i believe, thus more pressure.

And as said, it is not a suitable replacement for C-130s, it has more then 5 times carrying capacity of C-130, An-124 is a strategic lift aircraft, while C-130 is a tactical lifter.

C-130s/Y8F600 & IL-78s are more suitable for us, compared to such huge An-124s.

well any stupid will replace the C 130 with Antonov many airforces rejected it because it drinks the Fuel thrice the size of any USAF transport plane. and one more thing C 130 is thrice times better than Antonov it can land and take off from any airfield which is imortnat in war time it drinks fuel better than antonov very versitle easy to maintain which antonov dont have antonov most of time used for Civilain stuff transport and for russian space needs well still C 130 is best transport available what we do just buy C 130J around 5 of these and for heavy lift i still think Better than antonov is American C 17 globmaster it is just big in size but has good fuel consaption and does a work for qrmed forces smoothly

Antonov An-124 Aircraft Made in Ukraine

Again? :hitwall:

When you don't know anything about it why start a thread? :taz: Why you proposed An-124, why not An-225 or C-17 Globe Master-III?

An-124 is designed by USSR so the company is in Ukraine now but they alone can't do anything. Its mainly a Soviet/Russian aircraft. I think currently its not in production. There were talks about restarting production of it but no initiation as of now.

OT but ANTONOV is mulling to bid for US tanker competition...They are offering tankers with greater capacity at much lower price ..Interesting to see what GATES says now...

Coming back to the topic..a hilarious thought thats all i can say about this..

well i don't think they can move 5000 soldiers including gears

lets suppose they can

then enemy will only need one shot to kill 5000 solders
