we have 4 tu 22m bombers which we leased from Russia in 2001.

These were for Navy for maritime recon..Black Jacks are in different league altogether.. Another Plus point is that New ones are being produced and will be in production till 2025...

Its for SFC so definetly for nuke attack. These bombers can be detected easily and can be engaged. More over they need escorts in a war. These planes can go areal refuelling or they can bomb twice at target. 40 fighters will have high chance of survival than 10 bombers.

Are you sure that they are even combat proven? As far as aircraft goes, be designing a new one, or buying new ones from another country, it is the aircraft's survivability during operations that counts. That is why 'stealth' has become so important nowadays.

Since it has a payload of more than 300kg, it can carry sub kiloton or near unit kiloton yield nuclear warhead.

Mig 25 is high altitude, supersonic interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft, not a bomber. Actually it was made to counter a US high altitude supersonic bomber which was then cancelled.

why not buy 40 F-35s, 120 Rafale, 80 Gripens, 50 EFT, 40 Su 35s, 90, Su32, 500 FGFA, 100 PAKFA, 50 F-22 Raptor, 400 LCA etc etc and may be 500 JF-17 Thunders too

JF-17? Even China is now inducting it why should India.

Of course friend. We even have nuke delivery aircrafts now. Su30mki,Mirage,Jaguar etc . But we need dedicated aircrafts asap.

Mig25 is the most capable aircraft that can fly at very high altitude where no other aircraft can fly. We must have kept it.

There is no need to hurry, for this role we have many aircrafts which can carry nukes in case of emergency. You need to place the right choice for this kind of need...
You need to choose this kind of aircraft wisely. I would prefer a bomber in this role, than any fighter, coz if you want fighters then you have multiple chouce and better choices in future.

SFC have never mentioned what kind of aircraft will be in use, so speculating now(bomber or fighter) is not a good option.

MiG-25RB "Foxbat-B" was capable of delivering Nukes.. Till date this aircraft is considered as the fastest Fighter Plane. Its Alt record is also untouched..
We should look upon the MKIs as a Nuke Delivery Platform..

A bomber can be easily seen and shot. Do u send a bomber with out a fighter escort?
If a bomber need to deliver 5 nukes(Definetly if nuke is used, they will be used in 100 numbers)
3 Fighters can do the same job efficiently and can bomb at 3 places at a time!!!
