West’s ‘honor killing’ hypocrisy: American university professor completely OWNS the western media

NEW YORK (Web Desk) – While the Western media is often seen highlighting the crimes like honour killing from Pakistan, an American professor has questioned the US media for neglecting the reporting on such crimes in their own society.

In a letter written in response to an article headlined “Family stones woman to death,” Judy Haiven, who is a professor at Saint Marry’s University, Halifax, said that every day three women are murdered by their families in the United States, however, the media is only quick to target women murders in Muslim countries.

“Maybe they should also look at the facts in the United States and Canada,” he went on to say while referring to the report which claimed that 869 women have been killed for honour in Pakistan since 2013.

“By my count, it’s 1,095 women killed” in the United States in the same duration, he added.

First of all, Halifax (Where this Judy Haiven character have her professorship at) is in Canada. So it was not an "American University" it was an "Canadian University"

Second of all, she is comparing the Honour Killing in Pakistan and Violence against women in both Canada and United States. Unless you are telling me women were not killed in Pakistan in anyway other than Honour Killing (Hence Women were not at all a victim of a crime), it is not the same comparison.

Finally, Judy Haiven is a SHE, not a HE

In all, according to world report, 793 women killed in the US by violence crime.

Where does the article say women killed in US are for honour?

No, it did not say that.

The article point out there were more women killed by violent crime in US and Canada than more women killed by honour killing in Pakistan.

Everyone who can read left to right and dont have parents who are not each others siblings can comprehend the american professor wasnt equating gun violence with honor killing

umm.......actually, not gun violence, violence against women in general, gun violence against women is a lot less than 700, We are talking about murder in any sort and form, not just gun violence.

This is what Professor Judy Haiven Said "By my count, it’s 1,095 women killed” in the United States in the same duration, he added." The number itself is wrong, fatal homicides in which victims were women between 2012-2013 was 1,570, At a rate lowest since 1996, also The average age of female homicide victims was 40 years old, Honor Killing is cultural, not like regular crime, it came from saudi arab, it existed in east turkistan as well before 1963.

Most importantly,,, black females were murdered by males at a rate (2.36 per 100,000) two and a half times higher than white females (0.95 per 100,000), this shows the negroid race is not far behind the floor kissers.

umm, what's all these have to do with the point I make??

Are we talking about crime against black folks here or are we talking about violence on women in general?

Halifax is in the US??? What magic is this? I think the author in his/her haste is cherry picking stuff for headlines. Plus he is treating all deaths of women at the hands of family members as "honor" killings.

IMHO only murderers who kill in the name of honour are to be condemned as they are mostly barbaric muslims and those women die a violent death. We shouldn't make too much fuss about women killed in the name of 'whatever' as it's usually done by civilised people in civilised countries and in a very civil manner.

Every one should hear it Loud and Clear ......................

Title and content if the article posted is grossly misleading. By comparing the number of ‘Honour killing’ with the total number of women killed is intended to give the impression that there were more honour killings in the US without actually saying so.

This is what is called “Spin” to news by the dishonest journalists. Should we be happy that West kills more women than we do in Pakistan in ‘Honour Killing’?????

In addition to the honour killing; Dowry Deaths are quite common in the subcontinent. While information from Wikipedia is not very reliable; one can at least have a rough idea of the scale of the problem.

According to this information, there were 18,233 Dowry deaths in India during 2012, with Pakistan at 2.45 deaths per each 100, 000 women ( about 2,000 in total) has the highest Dowry death rate in the world.

According to Status of Human Rights report 2016, Sexual Violence victims( gang rape, rape, harassment, sodomy, stripping) numbered 939, Domestic Violence (acid attack, amputation, beating, edged tool attack, murder bids, set on fire, shaving, shot etc.) were 279, Burning victims (Acid attacks, set on fire) numbered 143.

We all love Pakistan and most hate the West, but one should not get carried away by the doctored statistics.

Anyone desiring to know more about the Status of Humans of women in Pakistan should read the 18 page 2016 report with the following link.

I was talking about the context given by the professor

I don't think the professor's context is about black women being next to floor mat

Beside, the "context" in this is completely wrong, on one hand, you have Honour Killing in Pakistan, on the other you have the entire violence against women in the US and Canada.

How many women were killed in Pakistan by either being murder outright or in the process of a Crime? The number must have been more than 869, and that is the actual number of violence against women in general, and that is the number the good professor should compare to when it was matched with the 1095 dead in the US.

his stuck in his 18th century village to use an insult word as negroid but coming from a bengali he cant call them black as it would involve his own family who are highly likely to be blacker than road tar

Also the US population is larger than Pakistan and alot of crimes go unreported in Pak
