What is the obsession of the West with muslim women? Why do they fetishize the concept of white men saving the muslim women in distress?

And lately after trying everything short of nuking Afghanistan. And utter humiliation. They have no ammunition left but this sham argument.

Please do not confuse mainstream media coverage with national policies.

There is no obsession here, but only pursuit of national interests. Afghanistan will not be a launching pad for attacks on US for a long time to come, that much is clear. Everything else is secondary.

I just don't understand the Western obsession with the idea that muslim women are oppressed and they need to go in and rescue them. Just recently this is probably the only talking point the West is touting most against Taliban.

As if Drone striking and bombing schools, hospitals, villages is feminism? Where is this notion of the white man saving muslim women when they are pulling off muslim women's hijabs in racist attacks?

They have deceiful intention of using this for anti muslim goals, I understand. But some people actually do start believing this. So pathetic and sickening to see they target minds of muslim women and normal people. So satanic. Muslim women are key foundation of muslim society and ideals.

Because women are the weaker sex. If you want to save something or someone, it is only rational to save the weaker ones.

Most attractive part of any population is their women. Wouldn't you be willing to "rescue and liberate" those Caucasian women if you were deployed in the west as part of an invading force??? Of course you would.

There would be only one barrier between you and them, your upbringing and your religious ethics. They lack any positive vibes of their religion so they are more motivated and eager to "liberate" Muslim women

A 27-year-old man was shot dead Monday allegedly by a rape-accused for helping the victim in the case lodged in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, police said.
Ajay Kumar was shot dead by Shubham, a rape-accused, in Kairana area of the city.
Last year, a rape case was registered against Shubham and his nephew Sunny, who is on the run, senior police official OP Singh said.
Shubham had been pressuring the victim in the rape case to withdraw her statement but Kumar was helping her fight the accused, police said.
Hence, when Shubham was out on bail, he killed Kumar with Sunny's help, they added.

Is India ever the barometer of anything? We know its a car crash. Its like saying Congo are cruel to their animals?

The east regardless of culture and this especially includes the middle east, have an absolutely diabolical track record when it comes to womens rights, there is no denying this, the numbers do not lie. Whatever system the west has designed, works. It really does and 50% of the population have just as much life satisfaction as men. You can't say the same in the East. There is a very specific reason for this and using India as a baseline for this argument just doesn't work.

I have travelled to many places in the world, in non muslim countries the women wear whatever and men do not stare and nothing is made out of it, I mean this in normal places like shopping malls and city streets, I feel there is a degree of space given to women to express themselves how they want.

In a muslim country I have seen full burkas in 40 degree heat. Like can you imagine going about your day trapped under a cloak in the heat without even the courtesy of being able to show your face to the world? Its really sad that is a norm.

If they did a test in Lahore with someone walking down the road in a dress, what would happen? Cat calling, stares, groping, assualt, rape? Can't rule that out. There is a problem and the quicker you recognize the psychology of it you will find the cure.

Well...same as for women wearing bikinis. That is a different form of oppression as women want to look like public property.
Women who wear bikinis need to be rescued from wearing bikinis.
