shame most wild life like elephants, tigers, and whales aren't as respected or worshiped as cows and camels
we could learn a thing or two from India in respect of certain animals.
I saw a camel being slaughtered in Old Delhi. Horrifying- blood spewing out of neck everywhere..

Fcuking stupid move. What next ?? Start prosecuting people who kill ants whilst walking ?? India gone whacky
What malarkey! Killing of tigers and elephants is banned because they are endangered animals. Not becoz people worship them. They numbers are rapidly dwindling due to illegal poaching for tiger skin, bones and other parts and elephants tusks which fetch huge profits in the black market!Killing of Tigers and elephants is already banned. And yes people worship them. You should watch the documentaries of Tiger attack victims in sunderbans.
Victim's families still have the same respect for the animal.

If you bother using whatever puny little amount of neurons you have and read content of this news item, you would understand that ,irrespective of what headlines are screaming, this ban has nothing to do with religion and has been enacted to preserve camel population of Rajasthan.
