^^^^ agree with you sir. Their living standard is decades ahead of any Asian but they are an ungrateful people. they should be grateful for what they have rather than cribbing about simple things.

We do both. We are grateful for what excesses we have, but also gripe about those little things inside those excesses that does not go our ways. That is the luxury of excess.

The problem is that Capitalism has Poor people... poor stays poor and the rich gets richer...

.
The rich control America and suck up the blood of average Americans.

If Americans weren't hard working, the country would have been on its knees.

That's capitalism.
Why are we all so shocked?

Socialism is considered a great evil in the US. Scratch that, any short of the neo-con's ideal is considered dangerous, immoral and 'communist'.

Sometimes I feel for the democrats in the US.
Here in Europe, the democrats in the US would be considered very right wing.
The reason why this inequality will remain is probably because of the tiny political spectrum of the US.

Granted, Americans must like it that way since they vote for it right? True to an extent.
But I the end, the rich have the biggest say in who comes to power in the US. As such, why on earth wouldn't they be right wing?

People that are smart and/or have the correct connections won't have much of a problem with this. Others would.

Countries like Sweden and Germany(western part) that have much less wealth inequality than the US are just as rich, so the argument that this form of capitalism is required to maximise wealth does not hold true.

True.

I love the Scandinavian model. Here in the UK, when New labour came to power and suggested all sorts of reforms and socialist economic policies, the torries were jumping and raving about how bad it would be. Instead we experienced a decade of non-inflationary economic growth.
