Wealth Inequality in America

I can understand why the richer in US hates socialism, actually every countries' capitalists hate socialism. But it is just stupid for working classes to hate it. In a country which is as rich as US, A red US would never meet the problems that poor countries like China or Russia meet in last century, but only make most people except for those greedy capitalists live a much better life. You bullshit freedom did not make common people live better, but make the richer richer.

Lol jealous fools. Only in America could an illiterate man come and open a business and end up a millionaire. This is a land of opportunity. It's not like The ME or Asia where connections and bribes is the only way to success.

The problem is that Capitalism has Poor people... poor stays poor and the rich gets richer...

And what about socialism or communism? Entire population remains poor as we saw from experience - Socialism or communism is a failure as proven by history. Even the last communist citadel, China has moved towards market economy.

Canada has a partly socialistic economy, and it works out fine (mostly).

The only economy that's close to perfect is a mix of both capitalism and socialism, no extreme works.

Canadian socialistic economy may work fine but you can't say it is perfect or miles ahead of other capitalistic countries.

I never said communism was the solution.... however maybe democratic socialism is better than both capitalism and communism..

Look at India - India was an example of democratic socialist country which failed big time and started to flourish only after it started to open up the market. So socialism does not work as well.

than a mix of socialism and capitalism... because as the video showed, capitalism also didn't work well in the U.S

The problem with america right now is the very wealthy have surpassed the ratio of control they normally are supposed to have. remember america is a republic.

On the country, India was extremely socialistic until 1990s, and only recently started the mixed economy style, where both private and public sector are present, similar to the countries I mentioned above.

Public welfare programs, government-owned corporations, and the availability of free education and healthcare are all socialistic ideals, yet private companies flourish too. In an India with lesser corruption, more active politicians, and a smaller population, this change would have already brought us far ahead.

Democracy is a political system, while socialism is economic.

I think you meant socialism-capitalism mix.

because the government allowed the rich get richer, which is not bad thing, however there should be regulations... for example now the student graduates from college with debts..

That student chose to go to a college where the tuition was high. that student chose not to do well in High school and not get a scholarship. If you file for financial aid the gov pays most of the time up to 2/3rds of your tuition if you need it. the rest can be paid of with a low interest loan/work study programs.

The only people who graduate with over 100k debt are kids who chose to go the stupid way.

yes mixed economy... I think it gives the private sector a chance.... I am no economist, but I do believe that everyone should have free health care and education...
