Pakistan tried with active military thrust,at least twice,not to mention the insurgency.How many times did you succeed? Instead Pakistan lost Siachen in the process.

Given to the present condition,I dont think Pakistan is capable to continue a war in a respectable fashion more than a week.So,it will be beneficial for you to not think on that line.

Irrespective of who won,, Kargil was just an excuse by Musharaf to develop a feud with Nawaz Sharif,,, in wake of which he had plans for marshal law,,,

If kargil was "real",,, it would have resulted in a full-fledge war b/w Pak & india,,, which it didn't,,,
Americans asked india to stand-down coz india was told of an upcoming bigger reward, a place in invaded-Afghan & destruction of Pak in long run,,, Americans were the provocator of Musharaf for all this & also the ones who stopped india fron indulging in a war with pak... but just to keep the stage play going...

Plan was to bring an "all-in-all" "all-out-slave" aka Musharaf into power for upcoming Afghan-invasion to develop a base from where to destablize & divide Pakistan...

Pathetic. The Kargil fiasco was just that, a complete and utter abysmal attempt by the higher ups in the military to put pressure on India. It ended up with Pakistan's international reputation shot to hell and the Indians regaining any ground lost and that's about it.
