  October 14, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif made statements for the press.

  1. Pakistan is one of our closest friends and partners.
  
  2. Pakistan - one of the first three countries to recognize Azerbaijan as an independent state. I want to tell our people that the Prime Minister at the time was Mr Sharif.
  
  3. We always support each other in international organizations - the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international organizations.
  
  4. We support each other in Kashmir and Nagorno-Karabakh issue. Azerbaijan fully supports the settlement of the Kashmir issue on the basis of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
  
  5. Pakistan fully supports the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
  
  6. The resolutions adopted several decades ago, are not fulfilled. This is - an indicator approach from the position of double standards, since in some cases the UN Security Council resolutions are executed within a few days, even hours. When it comes to us, it takes so much time.
  
  7. We are very grateful to Pakistan for the fact that because of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia, he did not recognize and establish diplomatic relations.This is - an indicator of brotherhood.
  
  8. We are also grateful for the fact that in 2012 the Senate of Pakistan has officially recognized the Khojaly massacre as genocide. This is - another indicator of friendship and partnership.
  
  9. The Azerbaijani people love your country (Pakistan - Ed.)
  
  10. Of course, our political contacts will continue successfully. However, we need to work more actively in the economic sphere.
  
  11. We would like to purchase from Pakistan-the-art, high-tech weapons, achieved mutual understanding in this matter.
  
  12. I hope that after full implementation in Azerbaijan system of electronic visas, to our Pakistani brothers will be very easy to come to Azerbaijan
  
  13. Our nations have historically maintained contacts, we worked together. Baku many signs of Pakistani culture.

Azarbaijan is very recourseful country we sud get some help from them and help them with what we have... future cooperation is very imp and its good news that finally Pak is moving toward where we sud have been from 90s.

To the people who are teasing Indians of isolation.
Please note that Pak-Azer friendship is nothing new and is just as good as Pak-Turkey or Pak-China.
This is not a success against India's attempt to isolate Pakistan.
Let India try something on Azerbaijan (investment/loan/etc) then we will see.
