Watch banned film "India's daughter" here!

.
Whoever wants to watch.. will still watch it, more so now than before! Not a wise move by the govt to ban the telecast. However, only reason I can think of is the fact that this interview was sanctioned by the previous UPA govt.. & the current govt sees an opportunity here to score some political points! There's no reason other than this...
Indeed, it seems like a political game being played by the GoI about permissions more than anything else and to an extent that is understandable because i don't get why the UPA allowed this to happen. They honestly were willing to sell india bit by bit.....

The ban was a stupid move to say the least. India needs to wake up and move into the 21st century. An example is that in North India (and also presumably in the South) there is this tendency by most Hindus to scorn "love marriages" between couples. That in itself is an indication of how far back in time India is. Women/girls are regarded as tools to be bartered with by families. The change of culture can only come about from a push by government. If government adopts this ostrich approach, then there will be no change. Refusing to look into the mirror will not improve your image India. Everybody else will know your faults except yourself.

I dont understand, the same parents where protesting against these documentary, specially about the comments of the rapists saying that judiciary failed them.. Now he wanted to watch it?? Anyway, it was a good documentary.. Hope it opens many eyes.. The accused and their attorneys comments were just embarrassing..
It's easy to manipulate people when they are in pain and distress, media is playing them for their benefit.

I have no interest in watching rape movies be it about my worst enemy's daughter

.
We watched it on Youtube and protested the ban.

Youtube itself was banned there because for the reasons god only knows....

Yes you do have more freedom there.

Not to mention the bans on medias like Geo just because they published not so pleasentable news about Pakistan,,

.
I watched it randomly.

I dont agree with the ban. Rape is not glorified in the documentary.

Its the name BBC thats the issue, if Zee news conducted a news report similar we wouldnt have given a Fcuk or it would nt have made to headlines, but BBC , CNN , AL- jazeera are expected to put up only good stories because we believe foreigners will stereo type us on the basis of what they see in their country...

But we cant ban it in overseas but we banned it here....

I dont know how much of Indian population watches BBC documentaries... 3%?/ 2%??/ 1%?????
The documentary was to be shown on NDTV (NDTV assisted the BBC in making this documentary) so it would have been more viewed inside india than that.

Again, the ban was not about the subject matter but about that interview with the rapist and permissions relating to it. No one in an official position has said this story is not worth telling or that the introspection it causes it not needed.

No one asked you to watch it or even comment here. Thank you for trolling such a thread, classy guy.

The one objection I have is having a foreign journalist and media house get involved in India's internal affairs like this.

Can you imagine what would happen if an Indian journalist, that lives in India would had done this? Even if any credible person have wanted to do it, this simply would not be possible from within India.

Damn ............ now it all begins to make sense.

I was wrong when I said congress din't give a fcuk about India's image. They gave a lot more fcuk to the money that they got.

When will BBC make a film about christian priests raping multiple 5 year old boys? The Vatican is the biggest gathering of rapists and child molesters.

No, but they will make a movie on Aghoris, Kashmir, Caste and Toilets :agree:
