Wasfia mounts Everest: Dedicates her feat to Bangladeshi women

.
Some of you guys misunderstood me about Sari. I am not against Sari at all however there is a difference how Muslim and non-Muslim wear the Sari. :disagree:

I was referring to Tip/Tilak. I believe this Tip/Tilak originated form Hinduism. Challenge me if I am wrong. ;)

Just yesterday, while travelling with my sister I saw a hindu familly while taking gas from a pump. I got so confused as I could only recognize the lady with her Sindur. She covered her whole head and I could not see a single part of her body visible. I asked my sister that the lady looks like a Muslim. She, said how idiot am I as hindu girls wear almost similarly as the muslim girls and they do cover their head as well. LOL

Which part of USoA do you you reside in dude?

Zakir, she is wearing a bindi which is an item of adornment / makeup worn by women around the world including Arab / Western women as a fashion statement.

Tilak/Sindhur are different and have a religious significance.

Be honest. Acknowledging the traditional attire of Muslim in subcontinent, if you didn't know her name and background, would you perceive her as Muslim or you would have thought of her Hindu from Gujarat. Just be honest. :undecided:

Lying is not good for your soul and heart. I know you are trying to undermine my statement by making up a story. Indian won't even believe your nonesence.:disagree:

^^^ Alzakir bro, woman who wear tips are not usually religious and they want to be identified as non-muslims, so who cares. I
think she don't want to be called a muslim by the way she wore that sari , so you can't expect pseudo muslims to abide by the
norms of ISLAM and BD culture. No point in extending this argument I guess. We do have suckular pesudo muslims here in BD
just like any other muslim state and that's the reality.

@ OK Al-zakir Bhai, what I heard/read about this tilak/tip that Muhmud of Gazni used to come to India for plundering. And in the process he used to killed lot of Hindus. He used to plunder the famous "mandir" like Somnath. Once this Mahmud used to go back, the widows used to do "Matum" wearing black saris on the premises of "Mandir" with the bloods of their husband. The widows used to give "Tilak"/Shidur/ on their forehead/head with the blood of their respective husband. Slowly and gradually this has come to "tip" as fashon. Although we the Bengali muslim women give a "Tip" but I have never seen any Indian or Pakistani Muslim women giving "Tip".

Al Zakir@ As we know it from Quran, using Cross and any other sign of Pagans is prohibited, you are correct, but then again its not a religious forum, i do encourage people to talk about political aspect of Islam though!

Politics is included in islam. The whole culture or lifestyle is sourced from islam. Prophet Muhammad (S) is a walking quran and an Ideal. We just have to follow as close to him as possible.

arabs are not ideals, at least for us. To tell you the truth, non-islamic bengali culture is far better than non-islamic arabic culture. No wonder bangla is thousands of years old rich.

I challenge to any of you uninformed Bangladeshis, she will be assumed as Indian Hindu if outsiders look at that picture without knowing her name and religious background.
Side tracking from the core question of yours, I just wanted to ask whether Wasifa and other lady were going to declared as Everest winners if their outlooks weren't like Hinduanies at the first place?

After seeing BD-Commie-Faggot-Mill's ultra-suckular makeover from 2001-2006 and their supports on RAWamys Lagi-Baita venture, I commented that BD was destined to become an 'Exploited entity'. And removing all the God-bound ethical symbols, making new 'Nari Niti', 'Biye Niti' etc.; women were led to believe in 'Utter Foolishness' later to be exploited to unimaginable scale. Do you see any correlation among those vanities with Wasifa's Everest winning?

Yeah I doubt Islamo fascists would even allow her to go on such an expedition. The ones in Arab land aren't even allowed to drive, you guys should strive for such laws in your country too:lol:

Leave it. She is not practising muslim and apparently interested in Budhhism! She went to Dalailama for blessing. She also studied in university of Mumbai. she is free Tibbet activist and a student of Samye Ling College now

What is a suckular psuedo muslim? So we disagree on a few things like how one should be dressed, but calling a muslim a non muslim or kaffir is a worse sin.
On topic: Wasfia is a great girl. She's not only a mountain climber but also a social activist. She has raised sensitive issues and topic like rights of prostitutes, minorities, etc etc. She's a regular contributor to bdnews too:

Lots of people has climbed the Everest, but she has gone out of the way for a social cause.

We should take this lady into our fold, she clearly looks a Bharti and goes against Bangladeshi norms by exposing, in Bangladeshi's parlance, "top back, your belly, part of your breast under bra and blouse".

She would anyway love to leave the second worst city in the world.
Clearly, you have not read any of the articles or the social causes she supports or encourages. She is not only a proud Bangladeshi but also fights for the identity of minority rights which your best friend Sheikh Hasina did not give them. :(
If Bangladesh is the 2nd worst country in the world, then the country which caters for most people living under poverty is definitely number 1.
